so will wet sanding and then mothers mag and aluminum polish do the trick to make the stock shine bright like a diamond?

Holy thread revival. But yes that should do the trick. See if you can find a buffing wheel that can attach to a drill or an air drill. Saves you a lot of time and sore arms
