uhhhh I don't recommend that.... at least not if you end up getting wheels. Typically fronts and rears are different sizes, like my Racing Harts. My front tires are 245 and my rear tires are 275. They are directional and asymmetrical, so that means I can't rotate front/back or side/side! Each tire is stuck on that wheel, and it can't move! lol oh well, it comes with the territory.

From what I understand (correct me if I'm wrong): My car has 2 different tire sizes: 225 in the front 245 in the rear, even though my wheels are the same size.

If I get new front tires in the 245 width instead of 225... then I can rotate my tires front to back (not criss cross)

I'm still in disbelief that my stock wheels are the same size (2004 7-spoke) but I've read this on 2 different websites that they are 8.0in wide.

I think the only staggered stock rims are the 19" rays.

I'm not sure why you would have smaller tires up front. Perhaps the previous owner? If you have two different widths for tires on the same width rims, then you'll notice the difference in the stretch of the sidewall. I personally like the more vertical look (not stretched). I have 245 on my front rims (8").

If you're tires are directional and rims aren't staggered, I think you can still rotate front to back. But having different size tires will mess that up. If you criss cross, then you have to dismount and remount the tires. And that's only if they're symmetrical tread.

I guess you could do that. I wouldn't know from personal experience since I've never had the stockers on my car... I wonder if you'd notice a difference in the way your car drives with the same size tires front and rear??

The VDC expects a certain tire aspect ratio between the front and rear tires.

You can rotate tires from side to side no matter what size they are, even if they are unidirectional. You have to take the tire of the rim of course.

There's a thread on that subject isn't there? I haven't been able to locate it.

im assuming you have a coupe from the replies in this thread. you definitely want to stick to the staggered tires even if your wheels arent. like jb mentioned, the car behaves the best with staggered sizes. how many miles are on your front tires? you could always swap your fronts left-right but at this point, it might be better to save $ for new tires. also you need to check that alignment sheet and see what exactly "in spec" is. your stock front camber arms arent adjustable so not much you can do about that. i dont recall seeing you saying you're lowered but these cars are notorious for bad camber from the factory, especially older models. there are some lower prices tire brands that you could get a good deal on and just rotate your fronts side to side when you replace rears to extend their life. that or invest in aftermarket camber arms.

The coupe 17's are staggered (I don't remember the widths and offsets but no one cares about them anyway), the coupe 18s are both 18x8 +30, and the coupe 19s are 19x8 +30 front and 19x8.5 +33 rear.
