Even though the hats are painted on the new rotors, I would still suggest painting the rotor with black high temp paint to keep the holes, slots, and unswept pad area from rusting. It only takes a few extra minutes and it is very much worth it.

Will spraying the rotor before i "wear in" the pads to the rotor correctly effect anything? I dont want to trap little paint particles on my pads and leave deep grooves in the rotors...

Also, how do you properly set the rotors & pads together? Some people have said just to go easy on the brakes, others have said to do a few hard 60+ stops (or slowing down) then let them cool overnight....

what would you guys suggest?

Painting the rotors won't hurt the pads or rotors. The paint is worn off right away. You're just applying a light coat to cover the metal. You don't need to give it 10 coats.

Here is Stoptech's recommendation for bedding pads, which most people seem to follow to some degree. http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_bedinstock.shtml
