Sorry, guys. I've been out of the loop for awhile.

About the meet and future club…As Jeff would say right before throwing all his chips on the table, "I'm all in!” I will be there at that next Lokey meet (maybe with a friend – I’ll tell him to park his 2k4 TL in the back though, all of you might hate on his car). I want to express my thanks to Todd & everyone else involved for doing the grunt work in starting this meet and the future club up. Great job on nabbing those sponsors btw.

About the name…I think Florida G35 club is fine. It’s a bit bland to me, but it’s better than any acronym I can think of. I liked GONE, but I think that idea’s been nixed already

About the shirts…Once a design logo for the shirt will be finalized; I'd be more than willing to volunteer to get the shirts made. I’d like to see the logo on either a regular shirt or polo. My roommate's (rahshan) dad does printing & silk screening on shirts for schools and businesses so maybe I can work something out with him. I’ll front the money on that too.

About the regional clubs…I think we should stay united first and see how well and far this will go before we branch out.

About the G vs. Z thing…I don’t mind Daniel’s Z friends coming along on that particular meet. I met two of them and they were cool guys and had very impressive cars. But I don’t want a swamp load of Z’s attending. This is supposed to be a G35 meet after all.

All right... Just to recap a thing or two.
If Rashan or Richard want to come along, please have them catch a ride with us. I know that sounds a little "off" (especially coming from me) BUT this is the first meet we'll be having and Lokey only has so much room. Plus John has said that he wants an INFINITI ONLY meet. Heck, the list is up to 18 and we haven't even finalized all of the details. I expect many more SFL people will be signing up once all of the sponsorship details are finalized.
I hope this doesn't sound too crass but... At this point it doesn't matter who likes it or not because that's what it is. We have sponsors who are sponsoring THAT club. We have a website with THAT club name as the domain. This part has been finalized. (ok, removing stick from my rear end now... )

For all of the people playing around with the logo, THANKS! If you would, please use the words "Florida G35 Club" in that specific order and see what we can come up with. Also, while I'm partial to the coupe, there will be (or at lest had better be) sedan owners in our club. Maybe we could either nix the vehicle in the logo or have a SEDAN and a COUPE in the photo... maybe parked nose to nose and at an angle... I don't know, you guys will come up with something I'm sure.

Ian, I will take you up on the T-Shirt offer. Talk with Rashan and see what he can come up with and please let me know. I'm trying to figure out what the annual club dues will be and the T-Shirt price is what everything will hinge around. Also, if we can get a really good price on the T-Shirts, maybe Rashan's fathers business could be considered a sponsor and we could add their companies logo to the back of our shirts and our web page. Just make sure we get some good quality 100% cotton shirts and not some cheap-o junk shirts.

Thanks again for everyone's help and within 2 weeks we'll have a lot more of the details finalized.

      Daniel,
Yes I did, and thanks for the suggestion. I would like to give Zaino the opportunity to respond to my request for sponsorship before asking another company (similar to them) to sponsor us. I think it would be wierd to be sponsored by 2 car care companies. I don't think it would be fair to either of the companies for "us" to support them both. I'll be making a few phone calls later on today to see what I can come up with.

This is my very first attempt at photochopping a logo of any kind, I know it came out horrible, so it's no contestant for the T-shirts but I'm posting it anyway I'm still a noob.

Btw Neff I do have pics of coupe & sedan together, but it'll take me a while to find them (3,000 G pics on my PC). Can't we just use a photo of the front in which it's hard to tell whether it's a coupe or sedan?

Wow, you guys (and token gal) are real troopers. I can't wait to get to meet all of you, especially those of you who are volunteering your time to make this club a success. If you've been reading/lurking around and haven't signed up yet... feel free to chime in. Soon there will be more details and hopefully more sponsors so don't miss out on all of the action.

      Thanks again,
      -Neffster

I made a mixture of new stuff.

While I was at it, threw up some ideas for the back of a t-shirt, maybe it'll inspire someone else.

I'd like to put the infiniti emblem in the logo, it just looked better having some sort of pic in there, im posting it. but i'll probably have to take it down unless we get permission.

Technically there are no OFFICIAL members of the club besides myself at the present time. We have commitments from at least 18 other people to join, but it wasn't until about 5pm today that the ability for people to join was even possible.

As of now we have 4 MAJOR sponsors, we have a club website, a club paypal account to accept membership, and on Monday the 27th I'll be heading to a local bank to set up a checking account under the club name.

I spoke with John at Lokey Infiniti today and we will be getting together (probably via phone) right after New Years. Before the end of January we will have a club T-Shirt design decided upon and a company who will be making the shirts. The T-Shirts will be free for all club members and all club members will be eligible to participate in our raffle at the meet. A list of the items to be raffled off at the March 5th meet will be posted as soon as all of the club sponsors give a final commitment.

I'd like to encourage everyone to click the link in my sig below FREQUENTLY to monitor updates to the club. Feel free to join the FLORIDA G35 CLUB early. The more people who join early & pay the membership fee, the earlier I can talk to the T-Shirt company and can recoup some of my own money. Feel free to PM me when you paypal your annual club dues. I'd like to know the following...

      First and Last Name
      T-Shirt Size
Whether you plan on being at the "All Florida G35 Meet"

T-Shirts will be handed out at the meet for all club members who have pre-paid for their membership. Please don't wait until the last minute to join up. I need to know how many shirts (and what sizes) to pre-order, and I'm floating all of the expenses on my own dime. This includes setting up the bank account, the minimum amount to establish the account, the T-shirt deposit and pre-payment, etc...

Thanks for getting involved and making this a GREAT car club.

Technically, I guess I am now an official member since I sent my $25.00 in this evening.

Just wanted to echo Neff's comments and encourage eveyone to step up and join. This is a great opportunity to create something special for the Florida G35 community.

Neff has taken the bull by the horns and has established the club, signed up some really good sponsors, set up a great place for our first all Florida meet and put a web site up. (All of this in just the last two weeks.) The rest of us need to support his efforts in making this endeavor a success by becoming members. The $25.00 is a small investment for the returns this club can offer.

      Tony

P.S. Lexicon, the designs look fantastic!

      way to go neff-mister

an added request is for someone to try and contact Infiniti about using their logo or name on our shirts...text looks kinda dull and fake....the first one with the car pic is nice (and doesnt eliminate sedans) but the "always desired" might be a little cheesy

im still in memphis and dont have my laptop (therefore dont have photoshop) but if i get time i will try to call infiniti but doubt i will....

      anyways nice work everyone!!!
