Help with getting started!

Hi Everyone!

I haven't been on the forums due to working a crap load and school. But I will be attending the V2 meet in April and have done nothing to my car (besides adding the key cover since someone stole it )!

I want to get some tint on the car and was wondering if there is anywhere local that does a good job that isn't overpriced. I was going to pay $300 @ Infiniti dealership and someone said there are places cheaper that do awesome jobs.

Also I know there is an area on the forumsfor wheels/tires for sale but I really wanna keep everything local at the moment. I was wondering if anyone is selling their wheels. I want a nice starter wheel nothing flashy just something that is nice (Classy not Flashy is my motto for my car lol).

Please let me know if you guys can help me out in any way! I really appreciate it!

Welcome!

Don't pay $300 for tint.

You should plan to come to our big meet in Fort Desoto on March 25! We don't care if you're stock, you won't be the only one, and hey... everyone was stock at one point!

Tint shouldn't cost you much more than $200. Granted, there are different grades/quality/brands of tint....but you honestly don't need the absolute best unless you plan on having your car the rest of your life (or atleast the next 10 years). Obviously you don't want to go dirt cheap either, but you should be able to find a good mid-grade tint for around $150-200. Im sure the Infiniti dealership just contracts out their work to a small tint shop or mobile tinter anyways....might as well go directly to the source.

Try craigslist for the wheels.

I have a guy that comes to you who is great. He uses quality tint. His number is (407) 460-9013. His name is Larry. Tell him Dubi sent you he will give you a good price.

Thanks everyone! I thought that was high as well but I want a good tint job. I'm super **** and if there is one bubble I'm get annoyed by it. Lol

I will definitely try to go to the March 25th meet. Are you guys meeting up before the meet locally?

Just remember, tint is going to have a lot of really small bubbles for about a week after it's installed. Leave them alone, and they'll work their way out.
