UF, USF, FAU.. other schools are going to have their race cars out. Going to be a Fun day. I hope ours doesn't somehow break lol

Drifting or Autocross?

Morning guys. Been a hectic weekend but things normalized now. Ramiro you never got bacck to me bro

Yep coming up with a group, I'll ask about spectators if any of you are interested.


What we are racing are FSAE Race Cars they are F1 Styled open wheeled .

We can use any 4 stroke engine up to 610ccs and have to breath through a intake restriction of 20mm

What we will be bringing up to Orlando is our 2011 Race Car

How she currently sits getting tons of love and maintenance and repairs lol



We drove it last weekend to get some new people experience but as all hand built things something broke this time the tripod housings connected to the differential(mostly due to design flaw) so we are fixing that and waiting on some parts.

We use a GSXR 600 Engine which puts out 80hp.

Can do 0-60 in 3.5 sec if you can get traction, weights 498 lbs and the tires can pull 1.5g continuously

Absolutely everything you see is Custom made by us except for some obvious items (Calipers, Engine, Rotors) we design and weld the chassis and we develop our own intake/exhaust and cooling system.

Cooling is still a pain in the ***, the radiator you see was one bought for 2012 car which did not make it due to funding ( these cars cost 40k to make) it replaced the original radiator on the 2011 for this weekend as the one the 2011 picked was just a random size and it overheated badly during the competition and engine blew two/three laps before finishing the final event.

Out of 122 Schools we placed 45th, would of been in the 20s if we had not overheated and got a DNF for Endurance. This is a worldwide event so even schools from Germany, Japan..etc compete. There is a team sponsored by redbull which gives them tons of cash, their car is ridiculous(Carbonfiber and Titanium parts).

2013 Car is currently underway and we are working with what we have done last year and trying to find funding from Corporations rather than local businesses.



So this event on Sunday is basically a get together from all the schools and just have a friendly event driving the cars.

i believe last time i checked the fastest people avg out there is 33seconds a lap.

Heck yea its a blast, its an awesome ride. The Track we are doing is most likely going to be a custom track setup on the kart track. We haven't heard much about the track set up or anything like that yet so we shall see.

Ill be driving (we can have up to 8 drivers) and we should have gopro footage!
