Man am I excited! Got my car corner wieghted the other day. She is HEAVY - 3616# w/ me in it. Yet, it is 50/50 cross, 50/50 left/right, and 51/49 front/rear - can't really get any more perfect than this.
Jeremy answered this and he is correct we will have 5 groups spliting up the driver levels into 4 cars out at one time.

Took me awhile to find someone - called a bunch of different shops, then someone told me to call up a local racer where I live at. Don't think you want to drive this far - Albany, GA. The only reason I weigh her is to adjust my coilovers. If you don't have these - than the weight will tell you where you need to move static weight in your car to balance her.

And - yes - my Bad - 4 cars per group.

guys you may want to have a backup, I'm not 100%. if I can make it I'll be happy to oversee the event. I'm thinking car prep/driver meeting 8:00-9:00, track goes hot at 9:00 and each of the 4 groups will get 5 20 minute sessions with an hour break for lunch and draw straws for the last 20 minute session, closing the event at 5:00.

event steward should have at least 1 flag to release cars onto the track and to signal last lap. 1 or 2 observers would be helpful to keep an eye on participants and radio steward if they go off track or should be pulled in.

I would suggest 3 strikes rule. 2-off, no big deal just slow it down a notch. 3 or 4 off, come in and take a breather. 3 or 4 off x 3 = done for teh day.

in the events I've participated in, arm out the window = I'm coming off the track. since there is no passing allowed, I think a waving flag = start of the session and last lap, bring it in. a pointing flag means you need to come in and take a breather.

thoughts?

I should make town by 8pm and would be down for food & drink.
Jadaway (John) and Eric (Gump) should be onboard as well.

Not sure if the track will have an official that's paying attention, but the track 'rules' will probably dictate.

Oh, and lump me in group 1.

We can get Tshirts or something to communicate.
Yellow : no passing, caution. Also the first 2 laps of each session.
Green : Self explanatory. After the 2 hot laps
Black : With a point, will bring a driver back to the grid for a chat or issue with the car.
White : Last lap, come back to grid. The session is over.

When coming to grid, the left arm is to be fully out of the car, raised with a fist to let cars behind you know. We can also talk about a blinker in addition to this. I can bring something to turn the shirts into flags, I've got just the thing.

We should drive through lunch if we can. People will be snacking on day, or allow lunch to be "touring laps" if we are allowed.
