it doesnt come "with a cat". the tn kit thats the "w/ cat" just means its ganna use the stock cat. the tn kit thats "w/ out cat or no cat" means it bypasses the stock cat. and yea around 10-15hp loss/gain w/ the cats

....both kits replace the stock cats, theres many brands of cats that you can weld on the second downpipe. Magnaflow makes a great well priced one, or you can just call up tn and order the second down pipe with a cat although it might be more pricey that way.

Converter question...............

Magnaflow doesn't make a converter for our Infiniti G35s! However they do
make a universal fit converter that might work. Try Chris at Magnaflow he
knows his exhaust systems.

Yup! The universal magnaflow cats are what I was referring to.... it will help you loose the smell, not too sure about the sniffer test though.

Not to be a smartass, I hope you mean you are using a STOCK TN CAT in other words a TN ST kit that comes with a cat, and not meaning a stock nissan/infiniti cat on your tn kit, since the TN ST kit regardless of model for the z or g, removes the stock nissan/infiniti catalytic converters....

Seems to me this is a common misconception about all the available ST kits for the Z and G about parts of the exhaust that they replace....

Straight out of the TN kit instructions....

Please point out where these stock cats fit into the first picture.
