yea i would say so, but even if he cut .5 off of his 2.3 60 ft he would still end up still a 12.2 in the quarter which is still lower then his specified whp.

Did you reflash the factory ECU for these setups? I have a utec, but it's always fighting with the factory settings. If I use injectors larger than 440's I have idle problems. Actually I have idle problems now but it's manageable. I think its due to the constant temp changes here in MN. I was leaning towards Osiris for the flash and virtually no down time plus I can always upgrade and get rid of the Utec all together if I wanted.

We are having problems the Tune. Car Ran great for 1 day and now it wont even idle.
I had the battery replaced and it now acts like it has no tune at all. I had the battery changed and after that no dice.
I changed the Map settings to the ECU (map 1, map2 etc); all maps the car runs the same.
Got new a new cable to reflash the ECU; car runs the same after reflash.
Make changes to the TUNE and upload changes still have no effect.
All basics have been checked as well. we have good MAF signal reading in the ECU, TPS , Air temp sensor signal and fuel pressure.
Scaling of the injectors will not take effect in the car after changeing them on the map.
No engine codes showing. Have cleard only one code since this started and it was a MAF code. No code since.
Car will start great and run for a small ramp in RPM. Then die off some times, the car will idle at 100 to 300 rpm roughly.

I need some help!!
I had a ground cable added to the ECU, Installed a Water Meth kit and changed the battery.

Ouch! That does not sound like fun. Sry to hear that. Uprev giving you any help at all? I've noticed they're not flooding the boards anymore...I think I have just made my decision.

Faulty UTEC. You'll be happy with the Haltech.

Uprev is helping the have sent me a new cable to try. But I do not think thats the problem. The problem we are having with the Uprev system is Real Time Tuning!!
Thats what you need to tune the dam car and it crashes right as you load it.
Chipher works but not RTT. Jared is going to send me a new pach to hopfully take care of it. But if not and Uprev Chipher does not work I am going to be pissed.
Then I have gone through 3 Tuning systems so far The UTEC, Uprev and the basic Greddy Piggy back.
Let hope the shop can get it fixed

Uprev came through they sent a patch that fixed Real Time Tuning and the shop here in Van Ztune was able to find out what the problem was with the car.
Looks like when they changed the pin out on the OBDII port one of the connections was not solid and was giving a shorted signal.
The patch allows us to tune the Car.
I will let you know how things work out and I will post up my new Dyno sheet as well as the 1/4 mile slips...

For a high powered, higher risk buildup, why aren't you running a Haltech or FCON? No knock detection/feedback, or overboost cut has me concerned with using flashes for higher boost builds.

I am going to order a Haltech asap!! I do have detonation and knock detection/feedback Via the Turbo XS Shift/knock Sensors. But still not enough?

They did get my car running finially and I am told that tomorrow it will be back on the road.
I will let you know

Alright!!!
I got my Ride back on Friday. Everything is working no Holes in the Base map's and Uprev/Cipher worked well.
Ztune here in Vancouver spent lots of time getting things working right on the car.
I can't wait to get it on the dyno and final tune this thing. July 17th Comming soon

Z-Tune Motor Sports!

I am writing this post to tell all members of this forum and others about the experience I have had with Z-Tune and the trials and tribulations they have gone through with my Ride.
I moved to Vancouver BC in Oct of 2008. Then looked at all sorts of shops to bring my 2003 G35 Twin Turbo car to for service and advice.
There are quite a lot of shops willing to work on my car but none willing to stand behind their Recommendations quite like Z-tune!
I brought in my Ride in April of this year to Diagnosis a leaky Head gasket/ overheating issues.
I had built the motor only 6 months earlier, so to find out the head gasket was leaking was hard to swallow. They said to me that they will do everything first to ensure that the Head gasket was the issue prior to opening up the motor. Turns out I had air locked the coolant system under hard boost. So I got the call I was waiting for to tell me everything was ok!
I gave the go ahead to install a new KOYO radiator, Modify the existing electric fans and install a water/meth Snow Performance kit. Wire in a shift/knock light into my Stock Hazard light location.
They also suggested I install a ECU ground to ensure proper Voltage to my ECU.
Everything discussed was based on them actually taking the time to ensure that after I got the car back ,all previous problems had been addressed as well as some concerns they had had on my original install were dealt with (original install was done by inexperienced shops in Calgary/red deer and some items were left out)
I had installed the 3rd tuning system in my car, the Uprev Osiris/Cipher and was told by the shop in Red Deer AB, that this was the answer to my tuning problems.
What I did not know is that the tuner had major issues working with the program and did a base tune on my car without using Real Time Tuning. (Basically calculated guess work on his end and input from the guys at uprev to get the car running.) Original cost for the Tune was over $4,000 and it was still not up to full potential)
Once Z-tune had completed the repairs on my car, I got it back for a few days only to notice that the battery was draining and needed to be replaced.
I brought the car back in to get that work done and I asked if they could tune the car? They were working with Uprev systems but were not a PRO dealer. I had already purchased the Cable/License and had all the software for the car so it would not be an issue. Turns out there was a problem with the Uprev program still having a few bugs that the original tuner did not know about.
The Guys at Z-Tune consulted with the guys at Uprev to find a solution to tune the car. It took a few weeks to work out the bugs and total determination on Juries’ part to get the car running.
He had to do all the Base map work over again because the shop that did the original tuning went OUT OF BUSINESS!!! So no information/Maos was avail from them.
I have the car back and it is just as fast now on Low boost as it was running high boost on my old tune. Those of you who have been following my build and had seen my dyno sheets from the last tuner had some questions/concerns that things were not as they seemed. I was given a dyno sheet with 575HP at the wheels only to pull a dismal 12.7 @ 112MPH at the track. Good number for a car around the 400 to 450 rwhp range.
What I found out is that you can’t take a book by the cover and you have to trust the people you are paying to work on your cars!
The car will be back on the Dyno on July 17th to get real numbers and then off to the track.

If you find yourself in Vancouver BC or close and have a G35/350Z, 300ZX or GTR swing by Z-Tune and check them out. I highly recommend them for as full fledged performance shop with heart.

lol

So I thought we had it all figured out!!
Sorry about your head studs!!! ARP 2000
So i still had overheating issues after all the changes to the cooling system.
Turns out the ARP 200 Head studs just did not do the trick.
So out the motor come for a 3rd time and a full top end rebuild. New ARP L19 Head studs. Stock head gasket going back in instead of the Cometic gasket.
Going to make some small changes to the clamps and sleeves for the charge piping. as well as add some more heat wrap to the turbo's.
Putting in a new clutch as well cause the old one only lasted 5K.
More updates to come
