Air trapped in cooling system. DAMN..!!

Need your help guys. I changed out my hoses about 2 weeks ago & followed the add coolant/purge process. Well, don't think it worked. I saw some bubbles coming out of the radiator opening & in the back passenger side of the engine where the purge opening is. Wasn't too sure how long to keep that open. I left it open till my fans kicked on. Anyway, after turned off the car, I heard gurgling coming from the engine block. Air pocket. Also, car seemed to be running hot. Well, I did all I can do, so I took it to a VQ35DE expert shop. They too had problems getting the air pocket out & confirmed car was running hot, even though guage wasn't showing that. Well... they said they fixed the problem. But when I got home, I still heard that same sound from the engine block (air pocket). Next day I ran the car about 100 round trip miles. Temp Guage showed normal. On way home, service engine soon light came on. Even though temp. guage showed normal. Honestly though, opening hood, engine seemed HOT. Car sat for about 3 hrs then drove the G about 5 miles round trip. On way back, started G & instantly the slip indicator light came on & the VDC light. Also, throttle wasn't working & it was idling very strangely. Turned car off, then back on & it started fine & drove it home & haven't driven it since. I think I fried its brains....LOL... Actually not funny. I'm taking my G back to the shop tomorrow 2 see what the hell's going on. I'm not bagging on the shop by no means. Just want this problem fixed Any thoughts out there..???

Only suggestion I can come up with is to start with a cold car . Open the radiator and the little valve on the passenger side . The start the car and turn on the heater . Let the car run long enought for the fans to come on and off twice . Ive done it several times and never had a problem with it .

I read on my350z a while back about having the motor on an incline when purging the system. My purge valve is hard to get to, so I tried this method and it worked great for me. The temp gauge doesn't start to move until 220 or so and if you have air in there it will quickly fly past that. Turn on the A/C if it does and the fans will kick on which helps control the temps for a little while.

Only thing I'm gonna say that you havent tried yet is wedge something on the gas pedal so the car idles around 2000rpm. Its a pain to get it to stay there but thats the only thing left to try. When we do coolant flushes here at work we usually do that and the air escapes out of the over flow tank.

There is a procedure to follow in the service manual, did you do that? Some others have stated that parking on a decline overnight, and then using the rear plug the next morning sometimes works. I would give it another shot, opening the air relief plug while revving the engine up to 2 or 3k (as specified, forget now which it is)

See attached (for 2004 G35 coupe).

If you dont have very hot heat coming from your cabin vents, you have a lot of air in your system. It's a quick and easy check...so I would start there.
