Forced Induction Discussion of turbos , superchargers , and nitrous upgrades on the G35

My supercharger went bad. :(

Right now I have 400rwhp and 440trq, as soon as I have let the rings seat and put a few more miles on the car then we will see what she can do. I should have waited for Sam to do all the break in and then picked it up but I needed it for the last meet of the N.Cal year....couldn't miss that!!

We did go up to 10psi to make 430rwhp but Sam did not want to push it so early on, I agreed of course

Always up for a mini meet..lol

That's one of the reasons why I will only take my G to Sam. He actually cares about what's gonna happen to your car. I could have easily pushed for more power on my G. It easily has the potential there. But Sam didn't wanna push it. He tuned it for good but safe power. I also agreed.

I noticed you got 384 at 10psi, are you going build the block before boosting higher?
I remember the days of only having 320trq at 10psi, just imagine what I am feeling like right now with 440trq at just 9psi..lol almost spun the car out at a gas station on the way home and I just barely touched the pedal. Lesson to oneself....take it easy on the take off

Thats the one. Only it is a Kenstyle kit, not a widebody.

I'm not gonna boost any higher. I am actually adding some more breather mods to my G so my boost is actually going to come down a little bit. I don't plan on building my engine at the moment but things can always change.

But it was your work on Ty's car (while you were at VRT) that got me into the FI in the first place.

You should call them bro. That is way too long. I should have my SC back pretty soon. I would go down to Vortech myself if they told me 8 weeks.

8 weeks is way to long to get fix a Vortech, heck I got an engine build, tranny build and rebuilt turbos in that time!!

Yeah, thats not right. Did you communicate with Vortech at all or did you just send it out hoping it would show back up in a couple weeks? I sent out my blower 2 weeks ago and they just informed me that it is repaired and in the mail on its way back now . Definitely call them to see whats going on.

That's great news bro. That means mine should be on it's way back sometime this week also. I'll call GTM like Wed. or Thurs. to get and update. They are doing a few more things to my G too so it will probably still be there for a little bit. BTW, did they tell you what was wrong with your SC??

Yeah, I asked them what was wrong and they said the main bearing and seal went out on the compressor wheel. All i'm saying is that it better not go out again anytime soon
