"first" .....

Are you getting a loss of boost pressure? Is that why you are changing your belt out?...

Have you checked your air filter?... If I remember correctly I think you did... I went down to 5.5 psi due to a dirty air filter... I hit 9.5 psi on a 3.12 actually yesterday after I cleaned my air filter... Give that a try as well if you have not yet.

well for awhile I was only getting 7 psi. Plus, I keep getting the screeching sound of a loose belt even when I had the tensioner maxed out. Thats why i'm trying a different belt first. But eventually i'm going to do the GTM mod anyways.. just trying to lag some time due to no money lol. Yea i checked the filter.. it is doing ok.

Yeah, I would say get the GTM mod no matter what Mike. It can only help and definitely won't hurt.

Yea I decided to just not get a new belt. It makes no sense to spend 60 bucks on the belt when i'm doing the GTM mod anyways. I'll give them a call tomorrow.. hopefully I can stop by soon. In the mean time i'll just have to deal with the screeching sound of the belt =(

I guess i'm lucky enough to not have belt slip without the GTM mod, but then again I have the newer belt setup for the nonrevup. We'll see how long this lasts though before I have to get the mod. Either way I'm having fun! I took her to the track last night and ran a 13.2 @ 111. Not bad figuring my 60ft's were 2.2, no traction FTL!!

its weird, the problem im having is not even belt slip, it literally sounds like my belt is not tight enough. It's not loud, but a noticeable squeeling if you really try to hear. It gets louder as I drive faster. My tensioner is maxed out. Im going to GTM on wed hopefully it will be settled.

Hmmm . . . that's weird. Yeah, let Sam take a look at it. Hopefully it's nothing big.

I'm sure that the GTM pulley should fix your problem. Let us know how everything turns out .

^^let me know what they say because I think I have the same problem...it sounds like the belt is making noises but it is pretty damn tight. I'm wondering if the belt has just been stretched too much.

I think if you initially overtighten the belt it will stretch too much. Then get to the point where the tensioner woill get maxed out. Are you sure the noise isn't from a pulley?

You should look into the GTM pulley mod too Jay. It's something that can only help and keep your belt from slipping if that is the issue. But yeah, if the belt has been over-stretched, it will continue to make noise no matter how much you tighten it.
