I just finished replacing my upper a/c line because the up pipe from the intercooler pushed it over to the accesorey belt and over time rubbed a hole in it. Cant wait to have my Supercharged A/C back!!!! But yeah always be ready for something to happen. Also intsall yourself!! Will save you so much money on install and repairs down the road, because you will be ONE with your car......

 

Yeah, if you are somewhat mechanically inclined you will be able to install the kit yourself along with perform any maintenence that is needed later.

 

The bolt-on route will give you some nice additional kick, you can definitely add some torque where the G is lacking it stock (in the low to mid range), but it's gonna be really hard, maybe impossible, to get F-16 power out of it (don't expect to be thrown back in the seat). I gave up after adding a plenum spacer, pop-charger and z-tube, high flow cats, and a UTEC. Those mods added about 15 hp (crank) to my car at the top end. But the torque increase was more significant, I gained about 20 ft-lbs (crank) between 2500-4500 RPM. That gave me a noticeable jolt, but not what I was really hoping for (after spending $2000).

But that being said, there is some fun in adding bolt-ons, especially if you do it yourself. Throwing on a plenum spacer, for example, then taking the car for a spin and feeling that added power and torque is fun.

 

But when you do this same process with a supercharger it is insanely fun!

You never had a spacer or Mrev2? I always thought that it should be your first NA Mod for power Oh, the stock plenum suck so getting the Mrev+ will give you an even air flow on all cylinder.

 

This is true! It's the mother of all bolt-ons. Only difference is that a plenum spacer doesn't explode 3 months after you buy it! Hahaha.

 

Nah, I have never had the spacer or MREV. Sam told me that the spacer works really well with the Vortech so I said go ahead and do it!!

I have a before dyno. I am at 384whp right now. Being installed at GTM right now are a MD spacer, FI HFC's, Aquamist meth/water injection kit and my GReddy Evo TT exhaust was installed by Street Image a few weeks ago. I am also getting the Exedy clutch and lightened flywheel combo. Sam is going to re-tune and see what she puts down now. I should easily be over 400whp but Sam is going to do a somewhat conservative tune for safety and reliability so we will see.

 

What did you do with your HKS exhaust? I might be interested if you still have it. Btw, which size spacer are you going with?

 

yes and no..... for sure itll be alot funner and waste more gas in the end since you wanna hear your car and feel the power...but no since it cost money, will void warranty and maybe end up **** out your motor

 

Sorry bro, Tru-G is now the proud owner of my old HKS exhaust system. And I am getting the 3/8 inch MD spacer.

 

Dude...1/2" for that beast...FI loves it!!!
