Stillen Supercharger and what else

Im kind of new to Racing, Ive had my G for ayear and a half 40,000 miles already. I just got a personal loan for $15,000 and planning to drop it in the G. I want the most for my money and Stillen Supercharger stage 3 looks like the way to go, along with a HKS catback exhaust and orthodox flywheels. Is it a good idea to have the ECU tuned after the install? Also are there any good or bad ideas I should look out for?

If you have 15k to spend, I would NOT get Stillen. Stillen will not get you much over 320whp, if that.

For 11k~ you could go twin turbo, and have much more room for more stuff down the line. Stillen is a huge waste IMO.

If you are gonna get a supercharger, at least get a Vortech which will give a lot more options as far as setups go and you can easily hit about 400whp pretty safely. Or as Canadian said, go with a turbo setup which has potential for a lot more power, if that's what you want. With $15k, either of the two options above are within your reach.

Lets talk about using a personal loan to F/I your car....maybe not the best financial decision. Whats going to happen if you blow up the engine? Take another loan out to fix it?

Good point. I guess I missed that part in the first post. Taking out a personal loan to go FI is very risky. You always wanna make sure you have backup funds in case something goes wrong (and with FI, sooner or later something is gonna go wrong).

Also, if you are interested in improving your car for racing, as you said in your first post, you need to say what kind of racing, because it matters. And if the answer is road course racing (aka time attacks) then F/I is not really waht you want to spend your money on. Sure, it will improve your lap times, but not nearly as much as suspension, wheel, brake, and most importantly driver education will improve your times.

If you have $15k and no more I would look into:

Vortech SC pr TN Single Turbo with good EM and tune
Brake upgrade
Sway bars
Springs&Struts or coilovers
Exhaust
Clutch (and flywheel)

I'm not going to give you crap for using a loan to work on your car. I used 0% credit card to do a lot of my work.

I also used my cc for half of the total (the other half was cash) but it was pretty much paid off right away. But at the same time I also have backup funds in case something goes wrong.

Well im not looking for a whole lot of power, Im sure that a Turbo will take more maintenece and wear on the engine vs a stillen supercharger. I just bought the Stillen Supercharger, Stillen Catback, Stillen Intake, Stillen Body Kit, Front Ap Brake System, and Carbon Fiber Hood. Pretty Much a Stillen setep all the way around. Looking to get some Carbon Fiber Stillen Grafics along the side of the car........Should be sick when its all done, and the beuty of it is all will be installed by the Dealership so its all warrantied nd the Warranty will not be voided....I dont think there is any better solution.
