Hey guys just an update about the car. The owner brought it over yesterday to have an exhaust rattle checked and the 3" clamp from the down is pipe rubbing against the firewall, just need to rotate it and all is good. Also fixed 2 pin hole exhaust leaks.

The wastegate gasket was burned out in one spot causing an exhaust leak, so for future reference when buying the cheap ebay wastegate don't use the gaskets with it. Use a metal type gasket, I had a sheet of metal reinforced exhaust gasket and just made one.

And that's it, no other issues. The owner has been driving the tires off of it and has taken many cars by surprise.

I cant wait for the new clutch and more boost, there is a Z06 waiting to run him.

Nice, its good to see that the kit is holding up, just too bad he wont buy a good garret or turbonetics turbo to replace the cheap one he made you install.

Seems like the turbo is the weak link in his kit.

Car has 5000 miles running fine. The owner still driving around with a toasted clutch.
Gotta pat my self on the back, I built a kicka$$ kit that blows away any name brand kit

Great fabrication and install work. Nice!

Quick question: did you consider silicone piping for the intake side? http://www.siliconeintakes.com/ Seems like a cost-effective alternative...

Wow just read all 14 pages and that was one hell of a build i give u props... So is this the only kit that you are making??? You could probably make some serious cash on that kit... I'm sure a lot o people would jump on it... Let us know when he gets the new clutch...
Amazing Job!!!

i'm going to be doing something very similar this winter...can't decide on a single turbo, normal tt or a tt compound turbo setup with a small shot on n2o between the two to cool the air entering the secondary turbo. ebay turbo aren't all that bad anymore. the chinese 60-1 that ss autochrome/xs engineering are using have been improved upon in the past year or so. great fab. work, this kinda build will give alot of people who were skeptical the confidence boost they need.
