Stay with the stock stillen fmu as i was going to go the utec way with bigger injectors and a tune.I was then informed by a person well versed with the stillen set up and was told it would be a big waist of money going with that setup as i would not even pick up 10rwhp for all that extra money.
I also checked with a few nitrous companies about a small shot and they basically said it would last a little while but the motor would not last with the roots blower and nitrous. That is why i just decided to go with the twins.

Thanks for all that great information as well!

I think what the Stage 2 will give me, will be PLENTY for me personally.

HOW MUCH WHP/WTQ should my coupe be producing with the:
STILLEN "True-Dual" Exhaust
STILLEN Intake + Ztube
STILLEN Stage 2

Somewhere around 310-320WHP and/or WTQ???

This is directly from the STILLEN website. What is the diff between "Wheel" HP and "Flywheel"...anything?

STAGE 2 - 382 hp / 313 lbs/ft Flywheel

I'm looking forward to installing the "True Dual" STILLEN exhaust [1st] and see what it gives me, and then the STILLEN Intake, and finally the Stage 2.

Surely, it will be nice "boost". As many have still insisted on saying (even if it's in a 'round about way') I know that the STILLEN S.C. is not going to compare to twin turbos, but if I wanted that much power and that much strain on the car, I would be posting that I purchased a twin t. setup.

This should work for me.

Heck! I took the car out tonight (cold here) and the thing is a BEAST in NA form, so ANY boost will be NUTS "to me".

Thanks and keep the suggestions coming - ones that pertain to the STILLEN setup. hint-hint.

Thanks so much Guys!

So it makes no sense for me to tell each and every OEM owner, "Congrats but it's not going to compare to a FI STILLEN setp"; if I did that, I would be a real jerk off now won't I??...get my point?

I *was* absolutely fine with the OEM motor and it's power displacement, but after being a member here for so long and doing a bit of research, I decided that if I were to EVER go FI, I would go with the STILLEN S.C.

Why?

My reasonings are that it's almost a "seamless" piggy back system that 'compliments' the OEM setup with little to no fuss other than the install - and I hear that's really 'quick/slick' compared to other FI systems.

I wanted a FI system that would work hand-in-hand with the OEM setup and would provide "safe" boost for hundreds of thousands of miles.

There was a sale @ STILLEN and I decided to pull the trigger. I had already decided to get a CF hood and since the STILLEN CF hood was 50% off with a SC purchase, I thought it was "meant to be". *PLUS, I actually LOVE the look of the STILLEN hood. From inside the cabin, I'm HOPING to be able to see some of the "hump". That would be PHAT!!!!

So thus, here I am with the Stage 2 kit and I'm excited about it!!!

I figure if it adds 100+ WHP to the current OE setup with reliable (low) boost PSI, then it's just a massive bonus for me.

I don't need something crazy like 400 or 500WHP,b/c I'm not taking it to the drag strip or track. Although this post is asking what else to add WHILE I'M AT IT to get to the top power peak for the Stg2 setup. I believe I understand now that the answer is basically "nothing", and that if I ever want more power, then I can upgrade to Stg4.

I REALLY APPRECIATE the advice from several of you to SKIP Stg3. That's FANTASTIC information guys, too awesome, thank y'all!

Yes, I have the 6MT.

Ok, so good for the Thermo kit and Oil Cooler - Thanks man!!

Keep your .02 coming on what else to purchase for this FI upgrade guys, I DO appreciate each and every opinion. Really!

Thanks Guys!

That's fantastic! Going from roughly 240whp +/- [stock].....to.....300+ is perfect for me!!

I would be honest and say that I hope I get somewhere in the 310-315 with the Stage 2 alone, but anything over 300whp is grand with me!

Like I said before, I took the coupe out the other day in it's STOCK form (other than a grounding kit) nothing else other than that - not even intake/spacer/headers/cats etc etc...just the stock VQ with Gordie's Grounding kit on it and with the VDC "ON", and it blew my mind the other night when I finally (after three plus years of ownership) decided to really and truly see what it's limit is....and trust me [to me] in it's stock form it's bad @ss!....So any kind of boost to get me up to 300+ whp is going to be "insane" for me personally.

*I guess having the VDC set to "ON" wasn't truly a "what can this bi*tch do" sort of test, but I have pretty low tread rear tires on (need to get new ones) and I didn't want to throw the car into a ditch off in the boon docks the other night!! he-he.

So I guess with the STILLEN Stage 2 + exhaust etc etc, with new tires and the VDC set to "OFF", I *should* get a nice KICK IN THE PANTS, NO??

Thanks Guys!

He use to have a Stage 4, he switched to greddy twins if I do recall, and I believe he put over 30k+ on his stillen setup

Yea i had it on for just over 30,000 miles and the only trouble was having to replace the little s/c belt and retightening the belts alot. The kit really served me well and i still do like it.......just wish it made more power.
But now i have the greddy twins and couldnt be happier. The difference is like night and day but i sure do miss that blower whine at wot.

This is what I'm MOST confused about...I installed the STILLEN "True Dual" exhaust this past weekend and couldn't get over the throttle response etc etc, and that's of course still at the "NA" level rather than FI, and that alone is nuts to me.

I can not image how much power you guys must be making. I'm sure it's addicting once you get your first experience, but right @ this moment, I'm finding it hard to imagine wanting anymore power (again I pulled the trigger on the STILLEN SC, b/c I got such a good deal - atleast I think).

So...

I'm hoping that once I slap that blower on, I'll be "blown" away (pun intended) LOL.

I guess I should NEVER jump into a TWIN TURBO G35, or I'll never look back huh?

I'm just thinking that 'pushing' the VQ engine that hard is not going to net me 300K on this car.

I mean, I "plan" on giving the coupe to my son when he's 16. He's 2 now.

We'll see if it lasts that long.

I'm thinking, once I get the "FI" out of me, I'll EVENTUALLY pull it off and go back NA. ***IS THIS POSSIBLE, without hurting the engine??***

Thanks Guys!

LMAO - Not yet.

Please feel free to cyber beat the hell out of me! LOL!!

I got a quote on the install and it's not bad at all (IMHO) - $750.00
So it's not that keeping me from doing it - it's my stupid busy life. I've got to get some time off work to mess with the car - it's been sitting in the garage and only get's "grocery runs" every weekend - poor gal!!!

Trust me, I'll be sure to run to this thread to let everyone know my .02 on the kit! Sorry for the delay guys...

Thanks Guys!
