Please don't post a reply if you have ANYTHING Negative to say about STILLEN supercharger, or how I should have gone with Twin Turdos or whatever - yes I know I misspelled it, that was on purpose.
I'm just looking for answers, not comments.
For all the STILLEN Stage 2 owners:
Ok, I finally bit the bullet and purchased a FI unit for the coupe; the STILLEN Supercharger Stage 2.
I also ordered a couple other "bolt-on" mods to add more power (and hopefully compliment) the SC unit.
What I have coming to the house:
1.) STILLEN S.C. Stage 2
2.) STILLEN "True Dual" Cat-Back exhaust
3.) STILLEN intake + Z-Tube
Question:
What else can I do to add any more power? - Or is that about it with this kit?
I asked Tony @ Riverside Infiniti (he has a 350Z with a STILLEN Stg4) and he said NOT to get after market headers or highflow cats/test pipes; that doing so drops the back pressure down so low that the kit falls on it's face.
So is there ANYTHING else I can do to squeeze any more ounce of power out of the car?
If not that's fine, b/c the kit will give me plenty of power (for my taste), rather than going with a twin turbo setup or whatever,...but while I'm installing all this equipment, I would love to know what else I can add...if that makes any sense?
I know I can eventually go to a Stg3 or custom Stg4, but I live in a Emissions state and I can not go running around with a speed demon car with no updated tags.

As i owned a stillen thru all the stages since mid 2003 until mid 2007 when i went with greddy twin turbos there is really nothing else you can add.Dont bother going to stage 3 just go straight to stage 4 when you are ready.
I really did like the kit and it gave me little to no problems but it cant compare to the twins.

Try ditching the SS box and 7th injector while upgrading to stage 4 and getting larger injectors. Getting a solid tune would net you some extra power. I would also try running a water/methanol kit with this root type supercharger.

another option, as opposed to the the Stillen & Z-Tube set up: An ARC intake pipe & the Blitz SUS intake, for a more cutom look plus a few more ponies. Also AMS make's a sweet radiator...

do you have auto or manual?
you can alway upgrade trans to save the hp loss to the wheels.

Ok Turbo guys --> I appreciate you ALL, trust me, BUT...I KNOW that the STILLEN kit is not going to compare, but the stock engine isn't going to compare to the STILLEN kit either. So it makes no sense for me to tell each and every OEM owner, "Congrats but it's not going to compare to a FI STILLEN setp"; if I did that, I would be a real jerk off now won't I??...get my point? I *was* absolutely fine with the OEM motor and it's power displacement, but after being a member here for so long and doing a bit of research, I decided that if I were to EVER go FI, I would go with the STILLEN S.C.
Why?
My reasonings are that it's almost a "seamless" piggy back system that 'compliments' the OEM setup with little to no fuss other than the install - and I hear that's really 'quick/slick' compared to other FI systems.
I wanted a FI system that would work hand-in-hand with the OEM setup and would provide "safe" boost for hundreds of thousands of miles.
There was a sale @ STILLEN and I decided to pull the trigger. I had already decided to get a CF hood and since the STILLEN CF hood was 50% off with a SC purchase, I thought it was "meant to be". *PLUS, I actually LOVE the look of the STILLEN hood. From inside the cabin, I'm HOPING to be able to see some of the "hump". That would be PHAT!!!!
So thus, here I am with the Stage 2 kit and I'm excited about it!!!
I figure if it adds 100+ WHP to the current OE setup with reliable (low) boost PSI, then it's just a massive bonus for me.
I don't need something crazy like 400 or 500WHP,b/c I'm not taking it to the drag strip or track. Although this post is asking what else to add WHILE I'M AT IT to get to the top power peak for the Stg2 setup. I believe I understand now that the answer is basically "nothing", and that if I ever want more power, then I can upgrade to Stg4.
I REALLY APPRECIATE the advice from several of you to SKIP Stg3. That's FANTASTIC information guys, too awesome, thank y'all!

I really really don't want to do NOS.
Just sounds like more work, more parts, more stress on the engine, and possible irreversible damage to the VQ??
What does everyone else think?
Anyone here running a STILLEN S.C. with Spray!?!?!?!? That's wild to me.
I'm not sure I am that "hard core" just yet.
Maybe once I get a "taste" of boost with this car, there might not be any going back. LMAO!!

Two things killed the deal for me, well, three:
That damn hood... If they made one like the one for the 350, that would be cool. But that bulge....
The fact that you loose your factory warranty. Sure you can BUY one (36/36) from Stillen, but I have heard they go out of their way to avoid paying on it. Which brings me to my third point:
Stillens Reputation on this Forum. It's crap. This place and my350Z.com is full of horror stories of Stillens LACK of customer service and Management not caring one damn bit. They sold it two you, so f it.
And one last thing, HEAT... I live in South Texas and the air temp here is normaly 85 to 105 degrees MOST of the year. I didn't want to pay all that money and only get 75% of what it could do in the Summer.

Sort of reminds me of a "muscle car", like you can tell there is a "MONSTER" hiding underneath that hoods skin.
It's like once you see this, a "Flat" hood is BORING. LOL!!!!

Not sure what the Stillen came with stock as far as computer fuel/timing control.
I know switching from the EU to the UTEC I gained like 15whp. Definately not something I spend a grand on, but the other added benefits of the UTEC like user friendliness and smoothness for stop and go traffic as far as idle and constant gas and braking. That being said, if it does come with the EU, then don't switch...
Nitrous isn't really a bad thing to spray ontop of boost. I know some 350z guys are doing it with turbos. Theres several things to consider wet vs dry vs push button vs accelerator position vs one big burst or slowly being added to redline. Like anything, its all in the tune... so you'd want to get a respectable Nissan tuner on the forums to help you.
