Well My FI Days Have Come To An End.....

Like the title says..coming home lastnight at 1:30am cruising about 65mphs....I here some clanking and then POW.....loss of power and car shuts off....CANNOT SEE ANYTHING...SMOKE HAS FILLED THE WHOLE CAR..no control going down the highway...I end up getting off the highway because it is 1:30am and no one is on the road...and got off into some grass...I get out of the car quickly because I think something is on fire....i check underneath the hood and underneath the car before opening the hood to make sure was not a fire..once I cleared that point I popped the hood and out poors smoke....All over the back of my car and underneath I smell Tranny Fluid everywhere...I thought my tranny was gone...which is better then the block being finished....So I call a tow truck and tow it to my house...Get up this morning to check what the hell happend come to find out 3 big *** holes in my oil pan and my starter hanging off the bottom of the car...here are the pics...I have decided that I will be going back to stock in my car and parting out my ATI Procharger kit with all the extras I have put into...Ohh well enjoy..

I have about 14,000 boosted miles...I was running 10 psi on the ATI kit and I have the UTEC management system...I did alot of reading on FI before I went and have bought every necessary pre-cautinary to prevent this...i have never tracked the car or auto-crossed it...just dynoed it...

sorry to hear this bro... this kinda things make me remember to take it easy on the gas and not boost every chance I get. Were you redlining your car often?

Edit:
Why does it say 380 rwhp @5500 rpms & 329 torque on your sig?

No I meant why stop at 5500rpm? ATI/Vortech don't hit Full Boost until redline so their peak HP should be close to redline. Last time I check our car redline is higher than 5500rpm...lol
