Vortec vs JWT (SC vs TT) - Owners need your feedback
yeah also reading throughout the next pages too, it really seems like it has high potentials, good gains just from changing pulleys. But Klumzyee cant go HKS anyways, he has a rev up engine, but then again, I believe you can order one for a rev up engine iono....
I had a similar dilemma, but...this is what i decided to do..

Owner something like that in Cali is not easy, but the key is staying out of trouble. Loud Exhaust and limo tint is probably a No No and civilized street driving is the key.

Yeah the HKS looks pretty awesome especially since we know they did their R&D.. the NON-Rev up (350z version) was prooven to fit on the G35 Coupe =( according to some members HKS said it'll work on the G35 Coupe but they arnt sure of fitment and said they've never tried it on our G Coupes before =( hopefully GTM, Garage, or Relentless will get their hands on a kit and try it out..

The revup kit is only for the 350z and special order from Japan. It has not been test fitted on a g35 coupe revup and modifications are likely needed.
I ordered a revup kit through GTM and since I have a G coupe, Sam agreed to make me a supplemental kit so it will fit my g coupe revup. The amount of modifications needed to the bracket and piping is unknown at this point.
Last time I checked with Sam, my kit was already shipped on its way to the US.
Once received, GTM will be making my supplemental kit, so hopefully all will go well (although this will likely take a few weeks), and GTM will have a solution for the revup kit on g coupes in the future.
But as far as I know, I'll have the first GT SC on a revup G coupe
With the amount of non-revup kits already sold and currently being installed by GTM, the knowledge Sam gains from this, will help me when optimizing my setup. My goals are a reliable ~375 whp on stock block, hopefully with a 9 psi GTM pulley, along with my other breathing mods, possible fuel upgrades, etc.

Yeah I'm sure they'll make the HKS SC work.. but then again it doesnt have the CARB badge.. bringing me back to vortech - a local company.. god forbid I have to warranty through HKS again tho X.X downtime FTL
Just about every turbo (cept the Turbonetics sp?) will be un-noticed.. Reason why APS's TT wasnt on my list is because if something does go wrong I dont want to wait forever for some replacement parts x.x vs JWT and Vortech - who arnt hard to get ahold of..

^^Yea, only the non-revup kits are carb certified and that's only if u keep the stock 6 psi pulley and conservative tune, only good for not much more than 300 whp.
Vortech would seem to be a good choice for you op, but I'd be concerned about QC with the recent number of reported failures.
If something goes wrong w/ the Vortech/ATI/HKS SC you could still drive around w/out the cog belt connected? Not possible with a turbo kit.

Part out G35.. Trade car in.. take TT money.. put down payment on GTR ._.
jkjk.. I'll go see whats available and see how far I'm going with the bodywork. If I'm dumping the Lambo Blue then JWT.. if i'm not then I'll probably end up doing the vortech

APS TT system can't even be seen when you open the hood, I am going to have some work done so that the 2 pipes you can see look stock and I am moving the APS BOV to another location. Lastly I'm going to put a CARB legal intake on so that is the only thing that they see first
Downtime for me to have my turbos rebuilt was 2 weeks so it ain't all that bad.

JWT if I dump the lambo blue...
Vortech if I keep the lambo blue..
mm..
Then theres another part of me wondering I should keep modding.. lol I just realize that minor mods are more like extreme mods that I would've never considered 2 years ago

Not true since you are using stock injector and with mediocre EMS.
APS TT is one of the most complete kit out there but Greddy has the most potential. I have nothing against JWT and I love them especially on street driving since they are one of the fastest spooling kit.
