I'm very new to Fi so right now I have a 2005 g35x sedan and I was wondering wth fits on my car?? I live in Canada so I kind of need the AWD but anyways I was looking at a V2 vortech but I dont think I will get enough power but I'm pretty sure It will fit and secondly now I want a Momentun turbo... Do i need to do anything special for it? Rebuild anything etc? Will it even fit? I've been doing a lot of research of what that turbo can do it and it can do A LOT! Any help is appreciated thanks!

Momentum folded a while ago so unless you find a used one you are out of luck. The good news is they just copied the Power Lab kit and those are still available, the bad news is Intense the makers of the Power Lab kit are brutal to deal with. Since you live close to Boosted Performance I am not sure why you wouldn't get him to make and install a kit for you. However last time I talked to him he was swamped and had line ups for the kits he already makes.

Engine Mods

Hello all, I am certainly new to this. Sorry in adv for the long post. I was unable to find in all of the posts how much hp can our block actually hold. I recently decided versus buying a brand new car I wanted to build the one I have. I have a 04 g35 coupe. I am looking at going forced induction long term. I wanted to do my initial build as good as possible, so I dont have any issues in the future. My shoping list is as follows: forged pistons with coating, forged connecting rods, valve springs with retainer, valves, camshafts, main bearings, rev up oil pump, racing aluminium radiator, uni chip ECU, bc crankshaft(stroker). (I will either choose cosworth or bc internals)I essentially want to do my build and a yr down the road twin turbo my car. This leads me to the initial issue. I want to ensure with me putting this much money in the engine the block can handle it. I appreciate any help. If you have any additional recommendations please assist thank you

This thread is incredibly useful, glad someone suggested it. I've been doing some simple mods and was thinking turbo next. Thank you very much. Where is the best and most affordable place or site to order quality turbo kits?

Alright, so I'm a newb to FI and I did some searching but cant find a good source on what else must be upgraded for sure when going FI.

Would I need headers? HFC or test pipes? I currently have an exhaust but would a Y-Pipe help etc. Thanks!

everything u need was covered but as far as exhaust you dont really NEED it but definitely reccomend to upgrade to bigger piping and less restriciton since youre going to be having a ton more exhaust gasses

^ Dude, I'm about to do a single turbo on mine. I have 125k miles. I'm sure if you run relatively low boost, you shouldn't have an issue. I'm gonna run 8psi with my setup. Great for a daily driver I believe.

Supercharger vs Turbo

What have you guys installed in your own G's, a supercharger or a turbo. Whats the advantages/disadvantages for both in your opinion/experience.

Ive had so many people tell me different things

Check the FI section for all the answers to your question. It's coming down to 1. What you want out of it and 2. What you are willing to spend.

I want a power increase without having to change too much around/compromise the integrity of the car itself. I can spend anywhere up to £2k
