ok, so as I said...i found that the digital fmu was still installed with all settings on 0. I can only imagine that this is not good. Im going to disconnect it from the car before I take it to the tuner. Any objections?

Yeah, so I told the tuner to disconnect the Aeromotive DFMU because it wasnt needed. Instead, the just basically shut it off without providing power to the second fuel pump. So, I turned the DFMU back on by adjusting the sliders to about max. Im assuming its ok to max it out, because the fuel return system will compensate for any excess fuel being pushed through.

.....I just tested my theory, and the A/F gauge stays a nice constant 11.5. Even at 7 lbs where before it would lean out completely. I still plan on getting it tuned, but at least now, Im not risking my engine as bad as it was before. I would still like to just disconnect it and just run power from the other pump to the second.

well i had a same set up first time... running Pe TT kit with stock motor, 6psi... i dynoed on dynojet and had about 330ish whp(with only technosquare ecu reflash).... and then i built the motor/ installed utec and boosted to 9psi. result was 395whp with 420ish lb torque...(used 380cc injectors that came with the kit).

Please keep us updated on the progress of your tune. I'm sure we are all interested and would like to know that your car is alright

By the way, just for interest sake, how much did it cost for the trucking company to ship our car to AAM? How far away is the shop from your place. I can't imagine it being cheap with the price of diesel being as high as it is..

Actually Express Auto (Broker) did it for like 695, so it wasnt too bad. I live in iowa, so its a pretty decent distance. I will probably fly out to pick it up when its done though.

well,
not sure if I can afford it now, i guess it needs the manifold repaired (about 800 or so), new plugs (400.00) two new rear tires (700.00) tune (700.00) and few other minor things...Grand total was like 4000.00. To avoid cost and just get a minor tune (rear tires required and plugs recommended) it was still 2700.00. 500.00 was them covering shipping.
Sux... I know I can do plugs for cheaper, and the tires. I will prob have them fix the manifold and ship it back. Once I get the other stuff done, I will drive it up for tune...
