^^ Good luck dude!!! But whatever you do keep the car away from the original shop you went too. That dyno graph looked horrible.

if the plugs are bad then a tune would be worthless.
but $400 for a spark plugs ouch.

Makes me scratch my head and wonder what else they
are over charging for.

I smell typical AAM bullsh!t and we are used to this in the mid-a as none of us go near the place.

$400 for plugs? LMAO. Plugs should be $70 MAX.
Tires you can get two rears for $500 if you look good enough.

$700 for a tune is also It should be like 3-500.

I wouldn't have taken my car to AAM from what I've heard from them, sucks when you don't do your research good enough.

Get your car over to FunctionTuned. About 30-40 miles from AAM.

To avoid cost and just get a minor tune (rear tires required and plugs recommended) it was still 2700.00. 500.00 was them covering shipping.
Sux... I know I can do plugs for cheaper, and the tires. I will prob have them fix the manifold and ship it back. Once I get the other stuff done, I will drive it up for tune...
dude, something is seriously wrong here

spark plugs cost bout $60, plus say $100 for labor

rear tires run bout $250 a piece, so that $500

and the tune should be $300-500

so max your bill should be $2k, adding the $800 to fix your manifold

dont know what else you might need that will run your bill to $4k

Function Tuned is amazing with the VQ. The owner is working on a monster 350z. They have a big bbq comming up to. You should ship your car out there and then fly out for the bbq to pick it up and show it off.

It is a proprietary AAM spark plugs guys... Also as always, AAM suggested to have their great AAM re-flash since he's going to have new plugs. Trust me the re-flash will make the plugs perform better. So total came to $400. I bet you the tune cost $700 because it also require another re-flash... With AAM the answer to everthing is re-flash coz they cant tune Utec for chit!!1

Update:

They ended up conservatively tuning me to 340hp. Something about the PE turbos spooling to quick and being hard on the engine.... IDK. In my opinion, I have enough goodies on my car to be closer to 375 or 400. I will be installing my own plugs, and buying my own tires. After that, I will be finding someone else to retune it because Ive heard too much negative things about AAM after I had already took my G there.

your tuning issues w/ AAM will no longer be a problem now that JTibbs is there

have him retune it, since the last tune they did was crap. even 340 is weak sauce, what psi is that at?

The car is still there, but I cant afford another retune right now. They told me 340hp, but the invoice says it shouldnt be run over 2-3lbs. Now if they tuned it right, why the hell do I need to keep it that low? When I sent it up there, I was expecting them to do a few things to it. Ended up totalling close to 4000 bux, so I had to decide on the few things I could afford. Manifold leak fixed, and a tune. I dont know...I guess I will find out when I get the car back.
