Not necessary..

Here are other STS Dynos...

Here's mine starting at 9psi and dropping to 7psi by redline.... wastegate spring was to small back then so it wasn't able to hold boost

Do you have the side pipe or the center pipe? your boost seem to hit late compare to most STS out there. I hit 9psi at 3700rpm and on average STS owner hit full boost (7-8psi) around 3600rpm - 3800rpm with TP and around 3900 - 4100rpm with Stock Cat. Did you upgrade your Y and Mid-pipe? at least your TQ # is almost flat and holding not like mine...lol You're A/F is a little lean for my taste but maybe your tuner compensated for that with conservative timing.

you are only running 7psi? That is a good # for just 7psi. I see you have meth so that is why you leaned out your A/F in the upper rpm. I had my kit well over a year now and not a single problem. I live in NYC and drove the car in the heaviest rain you can possibly think and not a single problem. People always assume the turbo will scrape or it will suck water but those are just theory that dont hold water.

Looking at your dyno, there's still some tuning to do. Your A/F ratio is all over the place.

I like the setup though! My brother had an STS kit on his Trailblazer SS (7.5 psi). He made about 450rwhp with it.

Not necessarily true. It's more likely in his particular tune. There's more in there.

STS kits make great proven power. And remote mounting them has shown negligible effect on power and spool times.

I just want to make sure that your dyno operator did a 5th gear pull on the dyno... If it is done on 3rd gear then that is the reason of the late spool. You want to dyno the car close to 1:1 gearing ratio so that is 5th gear in our car.

I think he's running meth and that is why his A/F around 5500-5800rpm is in the 12's... The most important thing is that his Peak TQ A/F around 4000-5000rpm is in the low 11's. We don't know what kind of timing the tuner is running with this tune but as long as he's not knocking then he should be fine... If he is running 7psi then 390whp is the highest HP # I have seen so far with the STS kit... Granted he was leaner up top compared to other STS cars. I also have water/meth injection and I'm not brave enough to run low 12's above 5500rpm... lol This winter I'll probably play around with my timing and lean out my A/F up top...

They have raised the price but if you have the right connection then you can probably get the complete kit for $5500. You have to consider that this kit don't need an aftermarket exhaust to make power, you really dont need anything else but the kit itself. Oh, this come with Utec and DeatschWerks 440cc injector, Tial BOV and Wastegate so it comes with quality parts. But if you want big power down the road then I suggest look somewhere else like the powerlab kit or the Greddy TT...

Unless he got the 350Z version then it should be complete.. there might me some minor modding like cutting here and there. 6spG did his own install in his garage and as far as I know he didn't really need anything extra.

Edit:
He didn't need anything extra except some missing parts which they did ship eventually... lol STS is notorious with shipping kit with missing parts so I strongly suggest to check the list first before you start the installation...lol But once the installation/tuning is done then it is one of the most reliable kit out there you can get.
