You did a lot better than I did... lol only got 13.5@106mph but I also shifted at 6000rpm and deflated my tires to much (20psi)... I was also running my heavy 19's. My car also weighted 3700lbs with me at the track.

Your 60' is not real bad but get that down to 2.0 and you are in the 12's.. Get some DR and and get that 60's to 1.8 or lowe then you are in the mid 12's. Our 1/8 mile trap is pretty much the same and I was told that my shifting is slow from 1st-3rd gear. I'm pretty sure you are in the same boat coz our 60's and 1/8 trap is pretty much the same. What wheels/tires where you using?

I wanna know what will put me into those numbers i'd be really really happy. what kinda tires and rims should i be running. also should i stiffen my rear shocks to full stiff? they're on 3, 7 being the softest 1 being hardest

/\ You'll need lighter wheels and DR's/Slick to get to 1.8's. You can buy a used RX7 wheels or 300zx and slap some slicks.. You can also go to Jegs and look at the jegs lineup of wheels. Try to get wheels that weigh less than 17lbs each....

Stiff is not what you want on the launch. You want a soft suspension that will absorb the torque and get you off without spinning. Also a tire with a bigger side wall and lower psi will aid in traction. That is why running a 19"/20" rim with low profile street tires rarely results in a good 60ft. Your times would drop by .5 sec or more with a better tire combo as most do.

ya, do you think 17's fit over the rear brembos. theres a deal nearby for some 275/45/17's for 300 for both rims and tires with 6 heat cycled passes

Since it is local then why not try it before you buy it? Also try to weight the Wheel/Tires combo while you are at it. Why buy a heavy 17's if its main purpose is for the track? also does he have DR's on that or that is regular street tires? why pay for some street tires that you already have? Look around and you'll find some used wheels with DR/Slick or just buy a new one. You can probably get it 2 wheels (15"-16") with MT DR/slick for about $600-$800 at Jegs.

Just wondering how often you go out to the Bradington track here in Florida...I am a new owner of a 2003 6MT and go to the same track although I haven't ran the G yet. I was looking into FI and would like to see the STS kit in action..Plan on making a trip to the track in the near future?

You will get better. On street tires, I think I only managed a 13.0 @ 112mph? I forget, it's been so long. You should head to Orlando and we can run at the local 1/4mile track here. I'll give you a few pointers.

Not with the 350/G35 kit.. Currently, the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO and 1997-2005 Chevrolet Corvette are CARB approved..
