good pt. The upgraded tranny is same price no matter what. I say get the VB upgrade for the firm shifting but wait off on the full tranny upgrade until it slips. U might not even need a full upgraded tranny if a good VB is all it takes.

What causes slippage of the tranny? Is it due to the excessive HEAT buildup or is there something else?
If slippage of tranny is cause by too much heat then if u are able to monitor the tranny temp and keep it down wouldnt that prevent tranny slips or is that just to prevent the tranny from blowing up?
