My transmission build with Alto clutch packs

Last Friday I got a hold of someone to order the Alto direct and input power packs. I was hoping they'd be here today, but they didn't come. They should be here on Monday. I have every thing to do the rebuild - bands, seals, and a bunch of other things. Once the packs are here it is going to the shop here in Vegas to get built. After that I will either wait till I build the motor next year, or if I decide not to wait I'll go back to Cali and get a new tune for a little more power hopefully.

I will post the results here in this thread once the tranny is built. Hopefully all goes well.

Parts were $384, from Trans parts in Fresno, CA.

These have been out for 2 years now, and there is another company that makes them I think but Alto is the best from what I heard. The shops that build transmissions probably outsource these parts with other transmission shops to get them built.

Yep, from SGP. My transmissions slips a lot though, and slipped on the dyno when Jim Wolf had it earlier this year. He didn't like that

So far ive been pretty lucky that my trans has held up after 53,000 boosted miles. If it does go this will be the route i take as i have a friend who builds tranmissions.

I can do everything myself but i dont know squat about the internals of a AT.

I wonder why mine shot then, I'd assume make it a lot sooner therefore it has hurt the tranny more.

355whp and 321wtq

I guess I ****ed that sentence up. What I meant to say is, since I make more torque than the s/c do earlier on it is probably why the tranny is acting up. At least this is what I've heard.

ya, if u damaged your tranny before upgrading your VB when u were sc that could have been the cause of the slip. Are u at least running a tranny cooler with the VB bc they could also damage your tranny due to excessive heating? I'm currently at 360 lb tq with the SGP VB and 2 tranny coolers (got the idea from a supra guy making 8--whp ) and hopefully it's going to hold 400lb tq when I'm done with my rebuild.
