Trans question and 1000hp Turbo car....
I was reading about that 1000hp G in the latest Turbo Magazine and I have a question. In the list of mods there is nothing mentioned about his trans. How much HP can the stock tranny handle before grenading??
PM me if you'd like to get in contact with Tom's tuner.
I am going to warn you that Tom daily drives a (modded) M5 and owns two G35's... attaining this level of power is NOT an easy task.

I've make 900hp (did 769rwhp not quite revving out) spent some time at that power, spend more time at bout 800hp (700rwhp) with no problems.
Sound Performance is also running a stock 6 speed with dss axles in their 1033rwhp Z that went 9.35@158

The axles are the mucho-weak point.
The G that was in Turbo Mag has a triple-plate clutch , lightweight flywheel , two way limited slip differential and converted his final drive from a automatic...
I think every multi-disk clutch comes with a LWFW. To hold that much power you will have to go to a multi-disk clutch.
The diff is personal prefference as far as what limited slip you want to go with. And if they wanted the 3.3FD then yes you go with a auto diff. Its a direct swap. Pretty much anyone over 500rwhp will tell you the auto diff is a great idea (unless you are revving to 9Krpm and only one car is doing that)
All normal stuff.
