Question Rev-Up Vortech Oil Change recommendations

Ok - so i've been running my V3 supercharger on my 06 coupe for about 6,000 miles now and i've been burning some oil...

I currently run Mobil 1 5w-30 and change it every 4000 or so miles...

I've been having to add a decent bit throughout the cycle and was contemplating a switch of oil weights or even moving back to conventional.

Should i try a 10 weight or perhaps a mix of 10 and 5, or maybe switch back to a 5 or 10 weight conventional?

Does anyone have any thoughts or similar experiences?

It's fairly common for the Rev-up motors to burn oil. I have to add about a quart a month. Since to you are supercharged, the dealer won't warranty the motor for the oil consumption issue. (I'm in the same boat as you).

I know they won't warranty the engine anymore... i dealt with the dealer prior to installing any engine mods...

once i saw that i was SOL with the shady dealer and eclipsed the 60,000 mile mark - i installed the supercharger

- I am trying to determine if i should go to a non synthetic or just use a heavier weight synthetic... perhaps a 10W-40

I am also submitting my oil to blackstone labs to have it analyzed for some insight...

Just an FYI for those who may find this while searching in the future:

I switched to Mobil 1 10W -30 and i am burning less oil, car is running well and burning less oil. I plan to run this weight oil for awhile and i will send the oil sample to Blackstone for analysis next oil change
