the bearings to your jackshaft...but if you follow the above ^^^^ directions, you'll be fine. I drove my G supercharged for 20k and it only had 33k on the clock when I sold it to BeerVipers_G

Cool

Revived thread.......lol

I have not adjusted mine at all since installing the new Gates belt last year!

CP Racing said they had a trick.....and it seems to work...

We used the shorter Gates belt that is needed for the smaller pulley (3.13?)
on my stock pulley. Loosened up the tension pulley as far as it will go and wedged that sucker on there with a large pry bar.

It streched out a little where it is just right and I have not adjusted it in 6K miles! It is not too tight...not too loose.....just right.

Zero squeal.

YMMV

Well, I was already at Kragen and thats all they had. Called Napa after I got the Gatorback to check the price and I was suprised it was so much. After almost 500 miles, it was squealing really bad, but I tightened it last week and so far no squeal at all.

I only get squeal as I am taking off from a stop, but I don't know if this is belt squeal because on startup, it sounds normal. Anyone?

Was also wondering, do you guys use the stock air diverter in front of the grill or take it off? Right now I have it on, because it would look like it help divert air to the filter. But I realized, it might prevent heat from escaping where the belts are. Suggestions?

Cool

Funny you should ask.......

I just was working on mine this past week and trying to think about how to get more cool air to the filter area.

I put the center intake piece back on and fabricated a diverter / shield out of sheet metal to funnel more air onto the filter. It seems to be working well.

I don't think it would trap any more heat and if anything, your belts would prob slip less if they were warmer. My belt never squeals at all.

for the stock kit, I believe the part number ends with 935 not 930...I could be wrong so confirm it with Brando.

Yep....That is the one that I have on mine with the stock 3.33 pulley.

Normally, you do use the 935....but I'm not normal.

It was not easy getting it on.....loosen up the idler pully as far as it will go.
