Vortech SC

Hi guys, I need your input. I am about to purchase a used vortech kit which has only 4,000 miles on it for 2900. First is this a good price? this is not the tuner kit, this is the full kit in the satin finish which I have no idea what it looks like.
Secondly do I need to change the belt which comes with the kit with a better one due to belt slippage.
Thanks Paul.

I installed the Gates belt, waited a few days and tightened it again and no more slippage. I do want to make one correction. The 93" belt will not fit safely on the 8lbs pulley setup...I tried and it wasn't happening...I had the tensioner pulley backed all the way out and it still wouldn't fit...93.5 works and I can see why the Gates works so well, it's double the thickness of the stock belt....anyways...thought I would share...

Not on Saturday, but I'm racing my car there (CalSpdWay) on Friday with about a dozen other G's. If you wanna show up, I can probably give you a hot lap. It's free to spectate, I believe.

Besides the satin kit being extremely raw and unapealing to look at it is a good price. I am trying to sell my polished Procharger for $3500 if anyone is interested. It dyno'd at 380rwhp on my car.

Well mine fell through due to the guy selling to someone else after we had an agreement but yours is just out of my price range just now.
I need to trade a few more stocks to make up the difference.
Paul.

if you are seriously interested keep it in mind. My Procharger has around 1,000 miles on it. It still looks brand new. It was professionally installed by Crawford Z Services in Nashville, Tn. The FMU is brand new, never been installed. I also have some PE 380cc injectors that I am trying to sell.

The kit won't be for sale for at least 6 weeks. My car is in the body shop right now (www.KPtechnologies.net/wreck/tbone.htm). As soon as it gets out of the body shop I'm taking it to have the engine pulled. At that time I will need to sell the S/Cer.

Thanks,
