Long story short, he gave me a ticket because my "egr valve" was not connected which our cars dont even have because we have variable cam timing. After all of that occured, I went to the police station to file a complaint because of all the harassment and **** he said to me. They reinspected my car and found out my vortech is only for the 03-06 models which the carb is not effective for my car's year which is 2007.

so now i have to go to state ref for a false egr claim which i know they will also check the vortech as well. How can I get this legal? the kit fits the car without any mods other than the different belt size. Do i just tell them that the kit is for the vq35de motor ? a little help would be great...
Get a lawyer brah.. prob the only way to beat this... Fuc CA laws.. they fuc crazy with the BS they have writen into law..

How did the state referee appointment go? I wonder how strict they are in regards to aftermarker exhausts. Hope everything went well.

actually. I failed the state ref. Not because of the supercharger and not because of the egr claim. It's because my ecu wasnt ready for the self test. I disconnected the battery a day prior to the smog test so the car wasnt driven long enough for the ecu to be ready. Next appointment is on Wednesday.

Hopefully that will be enough time. It is not so much about the distance the car is driver. It is about how many cycles the ecu has gone through. Cycle = cold start up - heat up to full operating tempreture ( cooling fans kick on )( not because AC is on ) - then full cool down. There are 6 sensors that do self checks during that time, some take just a few cycles and they are ready, some take as many as 40 cycles to be ready. You can have 1 sensor not ready and they can perform the test.

They will perfore the retest just as if you never been there before, complete visual & sniffer test.

Good luck.

Fortunatley I have had no issues with the G. It has been searched throughly twice, once when it was DG and once since being orange. Thank goodness the Vortech is CARB legal. A few weeks ago it passed its smog check for the second time with flying colors.

However 2 years ago I did get harrased a few times with my Accord and did get a state ref ticket on my way back home from getting its smog check in which it did pass. Dealing with the ref was not a plesant experience.

Its kinda like a fix it ticket.. When I got one I had the option of just paying it off for like $400something..

So if I was turboed I'd just pay the fine then to actually take off the whole kit.

Hope things worked out for you Stanley. I got harrased a few weeks ago by my local cop because of the furookie intake I have. I dont have any carb sticker for it. He got on me for my tinted tails again and my tinted headlights. He also asked what else I had under the hood which is nothing. Damn small town and these cops have nothing to do. I am now in search of a carb sticker so I can BS my way though next time. He suggested I get a new intake that is carb legal. A$$hole.

Yeah Cali is getting pretty bad, it is run by a bunch of retards that have run the state into the ground.
It's only going to get worse too.
Esp now that the whole state is bankrupt.
God forbid they stop spending money and giving handouts, the state gov would rather nickel & dime the cr@p out of it residents.
GL with the ref! Hope you pass.

I got harrased for the tinted tail lights back in 2008, I just decided to remove them and go back to stock, also got the same harrasement for the clear corners and no front plate. Last thing I need is unwanted attention.

Need to support the effort to create the 51st State and get Sacramento out from under our hoods!

^ why did you send your blower back to vortech? btw, vortech absolutely sucks in turning stuff around. call them every day to make sure they are doing what they said they would do. i'm not exaggerating - call them every day.
