Most vehicles today still use EGR ( Even my Honda Insight ) .....but not ALL!

May I ask where this incident happened?

On the state ref result sheet where it says "EGR Valve" the result is "N/A" because our cars dont need it. The state ref told me to hand it to the judge and explain that there's no egr valve and thats the result of the test. As long as it says pass, or N/A, most likely thats enough proof.

Actually, I did quite a bit of research for modern engines, most new japanese engines uses vvt, vvti, vtec, vvel and a whole bunch of other technical terms, it uses intake and exhaust valves to create the egr effect which eliminates the purpose of the egr valve. Supposedly it's more efficient.

The incident happened in Davis, CA and the officers were traffic officers which "do this **** for a living". I'm assuming they meant harassing people?
