The cam upgrade really makes a diff. I wonder if the vhr would also gain this much if someone made some for it and if vvel is tuneable. Hopefully that happens soon for you guys.

yea! i bet it would! my friend with the HR gained around 200Whp over stock with his stage 2 kit. that is something our VQHR can never acheived so far.

everyone is hoping Uprev is going to crack it. Sam already dumped the idea of making a controller.

Update..

I decided to install a CAI and have ZCG tune a map for 100 octane since I had a full tank of gas in it. This is where it put me at.....

I have to go back to ZCG and have my 91 map updated and see what kind of numbers the CAI net me. For now, I can mash this map

What is/was installed during your 431 whp run?
I notice you have a build list on your first page, but is that everything you have installed for that dyno?

What you see on the 1st page is it. I forgot to mention I upgraded the wheel in the blower to an SI wheel which the 431hp reflects. Which bumped my PSI to 11psi on a 3.33 pulley.

Thanks all!

I want to do your exact setup minus the cams,
What do you think of them? Well worth it? Or not so nessisary?

I love the JWT cams they scream after 3500RPM. But they are expensive to install not sure if its the best bang for your buck. My opinion is if you are getting headers, get the cams. For me they are worth it.

Thanks for your input unvmyg
Your engine is the revup?
Im wondering how a revup would fare with those
mods, how much was the install for your cams?

I see the cams themselves are ~1k quite the expensive mod! Haha
Guess its time to save up.

Sorry for the month delay response. I must of missed it.

I'm non-rev up. I was quoted 8hrs of install time. Keep us posted on your build.

Great Build.
Any problems with oil consumption on your new boosted engine?

cams can be a pain in the *** if you are new to installing them like I was.

takes a while to take off everything to get to the timing cover, then removing the timing cover is a bit of a pain, the biggest issue was my fear of installing the cams wrong so I was trying to be extra careful to make sure they were all correctly sequenced. Even after all that I was a link off on the right bank which threw a code and made the engine sound pretty nasty.

had to drain the oil and redo it just for that one mistake, ended up taking me about 3 days to get everything right. I understand why they charge so much.
