Boosting stock engine @ 80k miles-dangerous or ok?

Single full turbo kit with all supporting mods @ 6lbs, around 360whp, is that a safe setup to run on a stock 80k mile vq35de revup? I think boost may be in my near future, but I want to get some of your experienced opinions on this. But before you reply finish reading this next part plz.

I drive my car about 30 miles a day, city driving, to and from work and school, please assume WITH CONSERVATIVE driving habits, can this setup be reliable?

I say conservative because obviously any FI setup will be unreliable shifting to 7k all day long everyday. To give you an idea, it is very rare for me to shift above 3500, and when I do go over 3500rpms to pass or speed up, it's extremely rare for me to go past 5k. That's how conservative I drive.

This is the setup I'd be using:

- Garrett GTX 3582R Turbo
- Tial 1.03 V-Band Housing
- Tial Wastegate & Blow Off Valve
- All Necessary Cold & Hot Stainless Steel Piping
- SOHO Engineered Intercooler
- SOHO Single Exhaust (sold seperately)
- SOHO Oil Catch Can
- SOHO Air Intake
- Oil Pan Spacer Kit
- UpRev Osiris Engine Management & MAF Sensor
- Deatschwerks Drop-In 265lph Fuel Pump
- Destschwerks 600cc Injectors

Well it so und like a really conservative tune and goal. But at 80k it's risky. I would spend the time build a motor and either twin or single turbo it.

I would start with a compression test to ensure your engine is healthy before spending big bucks.

Is it burning any oil? If so, don't even think about it.

Just as a few have already said, make sure you have good compression, no oil leaks, and keep the boost low and you should be okay. The more torque that you make the more likely things can potentially go wrong.

it's all in the tuner! and how much reserver money you can set aside. The only rule of thumbs with FI, is that to prepare for the unexpected. Things will break when you get dumb with the kit, but it'll also break if you do everything 'right'. I think there's a fair amt of FI with more miles. my vortech went in at around 110K and it's holding up find at 134K. granted the tq number isn't as great as a turbo, but still.

Tuned at 345whp/338wtq @ 104k. Only thing questionable is that I need to replace the valve seal covers beacuase they are a tad bit leaky on cylinder 5 and 6. Otherwise she is as stong as an Ox as of the moment. If you are scared about boosting a 80k motor, maybe it is wise to not get into the F/I scene.

My question is why boost if you are that conservative a driver? That's a lot of money to spend if you aren't going to enjoy the end result often.
