Head bolts I have Arp L19 headstuds heads were heat cycled and checked tq specs 3x. For gaskets I'm running cometic head gaskets. Yes vq35de motors are open block designs. Sleeves aren't all that needed for the power I wanted anyway. Issues can be had due to them being improperly seated. Not to many people run them on there builds as you would imagine. The person who built my motor also has a 350z single turbo boosted performance kit car. In the 700whp range. If he felt comfortable with my 500 to 600whp goal I trust his judgment. 2k out of these motors is scary business but I have a feeling it was an all custom billet block. I didn't open the link I'm about to go to sleep. Lol

Nvm, read that it was a steel sleeved block. Yeah my goals aren't that high to warrant the need for it lol. The rods are the weak link in these motors from the factory. They are tiny. Like fat kindergarten pencil. Like 1" at its widest point lol

Did a wire tuck and covered up the holes with some random metal around at the shop and 2 part epoxy. Topld you ultimate DIY budget build.

How big of a pain in the *** was it to cut the radiator core support to get your intake to connect to your FMIC?

Bust out the Dremel and cut n cut till it fit. I'm actually gonna to see this core support because it's aftermarket and doesn't fit right for anything. So I wasted money buying it.

Thanks I sure will once it's up an running

This is the kind of stuff I love to read. A VQ putting down over 2000 horsepower, that's amazing and from the looks of it. Their is more power to come once they get the fuel system sorted out. Long live the G.

I keep telling people there's not a lot of light at the end of the tunnel when you start pulling engines breaking them down and building them. It will never be reliable. You'll always have problems. Get you a low mileage g slap a blower on it and call it a day.
