Hey Thanks for posting my pics. We call it the sleeper because the car looks stock from the outside. Its an awesome car when we want to race because nobody knows whats inside.

Stillen may use a different dyno machine, reason for your low rwhp#'s. 10psi is little high for stock VQ, maybe add more mods like ( plenum, headers, IM ) to get more HP and lower boost. Then dyno and tune Vortech again.

If you read my signature you will see that I have headers, and plenum.

The car has a different ECU box then vortech supplied. I switched because the G3 motorsports box is a fully tunable ECU.

I would like to know what piggyback ECU you have other than the SS BOX ? But still tuned it with the R4 program ? If you used the R4 program to tune it...it's a SS BOX......NO if ands or buts about it.
I would be concerned with your EGT's with that much boost and running the stock timing . Every thing may look great...A/F ...HP... But your temps in the Cyln. maybe getting very high . To much timing and higher boost , with 10.3 to 1 compression piston will cause to high of exhaust temps . reducing the timing will help lower the temps .You have to be very careful not to go to far .

NICE LOOKING INSTALL

OH...by the way...a 12 to 1 A/F across the board and 10psi is getting up there and I would be inclined to have it at 11.5 to1 or lower after 4000rpm

Nice ride I met you and your son yesterday at stillen. I think your car pulled the second highest for the day. The Z with the PE kit pulled 345HP and I think 335 torque at 5psi. The stillen SC Z pulled 288hp and 259torque. Remember the dyno at churches uses a dynopack which reads 5-15 more hp because you take off the wheels. I agree your #'s are low with your mods I know that USDMV35 pulled 391HP at churches with no mods really just exhaust and some minor things. USDMV35 also has a vortech you can go to his website to check out his dyno at churches at www.usdmv35.com. I think you should contact him to see what he has done to his ride since he installed the SC himself.

sickg35s - which vortech kit did you buy and what modifications to the kit did you have to have done to fit the a/t sedan? i'm looking to buy this next week, but i'm concerned about running it safely.

oh dude, i saw your G! black-looking or dark-blue, right? unfortunately i missed your dyno run, but i did drool at your car for a while.

so, you have a vortech SC on a 5AT car?... didn't realize that - vortech web site only lists it for 6MT... not street-legal in Cali, too...

let me ask you this - i know you touched on that a bit... stillen valve body upgrade didn't improve your performance when you were not F/I... in retrospect, would you prefer to wait for F/I to get stillen valve body, or would get get it before F/I too?...

I agree with the low horsepower and high boost. What is the deal with that?
Sick...go back to Shawn at Churches and have him tune your car with the R4 software he has...he'll pull more power out of that beast. I dyno'ed at 388 rwhp/328lbft with him tuning my Vortech G. Tell him Randy sent you and says HI!

by the way, that 388rwhp was with the stock 8psi pulley making 9psi...here's the dyno chart from Churches.

boog, when you say too much timing you mean too much being pulled rite. Example, 8 psi 6 degrees pulled (stock split sec prog) So at 10 psi 7 or 8 degrees?

yes..to much timing being pulled can cause high EGT's .Not enough...boom . Leave it to a good tuner
