Stillen Supercharger

What do you think about Stillen's Supercharger. Will they make it for the Coupe A/T?

Re: Stillen Supercharger

I think it is a good system, but people on this forum think different.I think it's because the hood replacing or that it doesn't put out as much as ATI.They do have it available for the 5AT which i also have. They also have upgrades on the way(smaller pulleys/more lbs of boost, intercooler, and more).Headers are also on the way.I have their intake&exhaust and I think I'm going to go the hole Stillen route seeing they are right down the street from my house. They have a great warranty on the whole engine&drivetrain so if anything does go wrong, pushing it down the road wont be too hard for me.If you find anymore pros/cons let me know cause I'm on the verge of getting one of these bad boys.I like the ATI model cause they have non-slip belts and it's conceilable, other than that they haven't sold me on it yet cause they have the worst customer service and are located in Texas or somewhere out in BFE.Anybody else have any info on either

I like Stillen too, I have the Hi Flow Box with the Z pipe. Considering the Exhaust, but I need to hear it in person first. Do you know how much more power you get with the intake and the exhaust. Do you have the CAI or the hi flow intake?

Re: Stillen Supercharger

The Z pipe is cool,I think I'll try it.I'd say get the exhaust, it gives it style, stealth like cruising, deep throttle when you're on it.I'd say with the combination you might get 10-20 give/take.I actually have the Blitz intake cause the filter is all metal & low maint/wash with soap & water. unlike K&N with oils which slow your performance for a few weeks everytime you clean it.I want the Stillen high flow box to go with it.
Lets get our S/C's together, maybe we could save some ca$h.Anyone else into Stillen?

Re: Stillen Supercharger

I would like to go all Stillen, but if I go with Borla, I can get the headers and the dual exhaust for less $$$ than the Stillen exhaust alone. I think Borla is a reputable company and worth looking into more. I just need to hear and drive one before I drop the cash. An all Stillen car would be bad ace though! Plus with the ATI procharger, you dont need to modify your hood. I am in to the sleeper look, all performance mods, stock exterior. It catches people by surprise when you blow thier doors off!!

Re: Stillen Supercharger

He's right about the sleeper look... our cars are nice enough there's no reason to change the outside. Do work under the hood is my opinion. Our cars will resemble somewhat of a 911 turbo (nice sleak outside, nice interior, not done up too much, and some bad @$$ power at the wheels).

Thanks - Joey Avino

Re: Stillen Supercharger

excuse me, did you say 911 TURBO??? I don't think that is much of a "sleeper" at any rate - without a doubt, however, it is the best car out on the market right now at ANY price...

don't get too cocky behind the wheel of your G (it's an awesome car - but not that awesome!)

Re: Stillen Supercharger

I also agree with the sleeper look, but if any of us decide to go FI, everybody you roll up next to is going to wonder what the hel1 youhave uder your hood anyways.Hood cowl/no hood cowl you can't hide the whiny noise from the SC.Either way, with the Stillen or ATI it will be obvious when your driving. It's not like Stillen has a blower sticking out the top.If I was going to get it,I'd let my bodyshop either make a new stock looking scoop or just blend the Stillen scoop to make the hood look like one peice.People always wonder what I have under the hood anyways with the sound of the exhaust,so being Mr. invisible sounds unlikely no matter how cool it sounds.I'm open minded to both of these systems, and these discussions help BIG TIME.Thanks for the opinions, info, and feedback.By the way,I got smoked by a 911 w/no chance. One of these SC's should help, but good luck on having a reliable engine.Stillens'3yr/36000 mile warranty on eng&drvtrn + intercoolers pulleys and more is a hel1 of an incentive.

Re: Stillen Supercharger

Yes, I will go with Stillen all the way. I just talk to Adam at
Stillen and he said that I need to replace the hood. He is going to send me a complete performace package listing. I will be dropping my car off within a month to have the package put on.

Re: Stillen Supercharger

I will post pics/prices. They will install the supercharger, custom brake, exhaust. Also my hood will be replace with their custom hood and the Stillen emblem will be added to the back of the car. I hope the exhaust is not too loud. I do not want my car to sound like a rice boy car. Currently my car is stock.

Re: Stillen Supercharger

Hopefully they will have some cars there I can listen to and I am going try to stay away from putting on the headers. If I need it I will add it.
