I have an 04 5AT coupe with a Vortech SC and I also had it tuned by Rob at ZCG, I am putting down 420rwhp and 320trq. You will not see these numbers out of a Stillen so it all depends on how much hp you are happy with.

so the stillen covers your engine's warranty? So that means, if your motor blows they get you a new one?

no. they only cover engine failures if you get either stage 1 or 2, you purchase the additional warranty coverage, and it is proven that the engine failure was directly caused by the supercharger itself, and not by faulty installation, or by any other means... basically, if anybody else installs it, with any other aftermarket part dealing with it, i'm sure they will have an easy time shooting down your claim, that it was their fault...

420whp with a Auto? What other mods do you have? Is this the standard Vortech SC or a re-trim?

Vortech will be more upgradeable. If you find someone who knows the R4 software, you can start off with the usual 320-330 rwhp of the 8 psi stock Vortech tune and wind up with a lot more hp. Also, you can change your injectors, add a plenum, change pullies up to 10 psi and change the actual supercharger unit to a T-trim for more power. Although the R4 isn't as good as some engine management systems, it does actually allow you to tune the car to get more power. Very upgradeable! The icing on the cake is if you can get a Infiniti dealership to install and tune the Vortech. More expensive than your independant tuner, but you'll have some warranty because they did the install. I only know of one dealer that will do this...Grubbs in Texas.

urban nice numbers dude but do you think going with a Y-Pipe Exhaust is better than Dual Exhaust ? and what about the Cats some people says if you go FI you must have Test Pipes for less backpressure.

I suppose going with a true dual exhaust would be more beneficial but I liked the fuji for it's looks and sound as I wanted to keep the sound down as much as possible.

I went with the upgraded cats instead of test pipes which I also have due to living in Cali where police are just looking to ticket you, I decided on this car that I will try and keep it close to legal as possible with whatever is visible inside and outside the car.

Very impressive Urban, I have the Fuji too and while my car is down I have been thinkin about the cats and Y-pipe if I don't do it now I probably won't due to the tuning issues( nobody even close that can actually tune and AAM is 750 miles away). AAM has their own cats and Y pipe, but I have heard great things about the Crawfords (plus Doug is a really cool guy) I had a set of Kenetix for just a minute...not impressed what so ever! Allot of rattles and they made the fuji sound raspy as hell. Have you noticed a big increase in noise/performance with the cats or did you do it all at the same time. As far as the dual/test pipes, isn't the backpressure issue more applicible with a turbo set-up? I am just stepping into the world of FI so pardon my ignorance.

Well I had the cats,y-pipe and exhaust all put on at the same time and the sound was still great but then when I had the headers put on it made the sound much more noticible and louder. I still like the sound but it does have a little bit of a drone between 2-3k which I can live with.

Back pressure is the same for SC and TT's they work off the same concept, if you have test pipes in then you get more hp but less back pressure which means less torque, that is why I got high flow cats which means less hp (10-15hp) but creates more back pressure which means more torque.

I need more torque right now..lol
