And so it begins (APS ST in the Yellow G35) Pics updated 11/01...

All show...no go

How many times have we heard this cliche? Too numerous for me to remember.

Well, the time has come and the parts are here. My APS ST install will begin in the next few weeks. Since the engine bay is getting color matched, the install be drawn out over a month period and I will do my best to update this thread for those who are interested.

This is my very first time doing anything this big. If you want a beginner's perspective on jumping in on FI, then this is it. I've never driven a FI car. Only sat in Ted's TT 350Z once. That's it.

And so it begins...

-Install and tuning is being performed by Ted over at Scott Performance in Santa Clara.
-Paint will again be taken care of by the folks over at Image Autobody (650.755.8324) in South San Francisco
-Powdercoating is in the hands of Mike Golding out in Georgia (imspud@bellsouth.net)
-The parts (turbo kit and gauges) arrived courtesy of South Coast Performance
-Other parts such as the A-pillar pod were orderd through Intense Power (which by the way has excellent customer service) and Innovate Wideband A/F ordered through Injected Performance

Check out my website for updated info. If I am not mistaken, I may be the first single turbo'd G35 in Northern California. I know there's a bunch of you TT'd cars out there. Take it easy on me when you roll-up

Now to some random pics...

APS Plenum

APS ST Boxes w/ G35 supplemental kit

Defi BF Imperial Gauges

Goal will be a daily driven car hitting 350-375 rWHP on stock internals

i have seen your console for the gauges. they look real good. i just don't have the time to get something custom together. if i do, i may try using twinsnails idea and have the gauges custom mounted further up.

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/72847-another-500-hp-g.html

my original idea was to fabricate something similar to the WRX gauges pods and have it mounted above the temp display. but no time and i'm not so sure there is clearance.

Keep us posted, how much did you get the ST? What exhaust are you going with?

steve - no navigation. getting one installed though.

G2fast - I have a prototype Tanabe exhaust called the touring medallion. can't disclose pricing on ST, but call the folks at South Coast Performance if you are interested.

UPDATED:

Scott Performance has the engine out and the car will be towed tomorrow to the paint shop.

Here's some pics:

Are the Imperial gauges the ones that read in PSI? Or is it still in BAR? They told me 2 months ago that the Defi PSI gauges wouldn't be out until the first of the year.... hmm..

and best of luck, kudos on painting the bay, it's nice to see someone go the extra mile.
