also, kinda lame that the blower unit itself is only covered for 1 year under warrenty from stillen.

for comparison stock vortech is covered for 3 years, and 1 year if you change the pulley
And trying to get Vortech to Honor that warranty will be fun. I know several people that had issues getting Vortech to warranty problems with the SC. Vortech has poor customer service.

Not really. I had a warranty problem with my SC and they took care of it as fast as they could. Jamie over at Vortech handled it well and I commend him for that. For me, their customer service was good. This is speaking from experience.

Who cares? Stillen is willing to gamble a liability of 3000 dollars+ against a 260 dollar investment for the warranty. Facts = dozens of people have had to replace their block and pay for the labor (unless they installed/took it off themselves) when they had...hmm..oh yeah; a vortech kit on their G. I think ONE stillen equipped 350z utilized his warranty for the motor. None ever for the G35. There are hundreds of people running the magnusson unit which came w/ the Stillen who have passed the 2 year mark; with no problems. Basically you are implying that a warranty on a blower unit itself is more important than a warranty on a block. Good logic my friend.

Thumbs down

For the first part of your answer...here is the reply.

1) There are probably as many people who do a bone stock install, if not more, than those who INITIALLY plan on doing extra modifications w/ the kit. Unfortunately; even if you did a bone stock install; you don't have the option of getting a warranty with Vortech; or any other forced inuction kit for that matter.

2) Nice try...that doesnt mean that they are not good ;but ; when the majority of the world's top oem in house tuning divisions use a certain product, along w/ the majority of the leading OE car manufacturers; it would certainly be reasonable to draw the conclusion that what they are all using is a solid product.

3) This one is for you specfically Sentra. Why do you try to always bash the other product all the time w/ ridiculous statements? I think you are a cool guy who has passion for the aftermarket, but come on man. You should be realistic and let Stillen get its credit where it deserves( same goes for any other company)

there's all sorts of things that don't come on production cars, does that mean they're not any good if ford or whoever isn't using them?

Those are the two people I have been able to find with a long search. How many with the other kits? I know the numbers are higher.

The fact is the stillen kit has proven over the last few years to be the safest kit. Is it bulletproof? NO! If you take a NA car and put on a FI kit you are taking a huge risk. I did months of research before purchasing my kit and decided it I was willing to take the risk but I wanted to get the safest kit I could. So for that and the low end torque I purchased the Stillen.

I don't understand why everyone feels the need to sit around and argue what kit is the best. They are all good in different ways. Just be happy we have so many choices and get what is best for you based on the facts.

Just my $0.02
