i dont have any dynos but with the stillen it has a powerband from idle all the way to about 6 grand when it starts to fall off, with the vortec it builds boost after anout 3500 rpm then starts pulling very hard, stillen pulls hard from idle but does not have the horsepower the vortec has.i have the stillen and for every day driving (stop and go) its a blast.hope this helps

I think with Stage 3, a couple ppl have dyno'd about 305-310 whp. Less for an automatic transmission. But, you have to look at the curve. Stillen makes power sooner in the rev range and stays strong until cut-off. The Vortech will make noticeable power above 3500 and make more peak power. But, honestly, the number's don't matter. Someone posted a vid a couple weeks ago, with a Stillen Stage 3 pulling off 12.9 1/4 mile. I have seen 360+whp Vortech G35's get 13.4-13.6 1/4 mile.

I have been looking into every option for a couple months now and I have decided to do the Stillen too. I do mostly city street driving and IMO it's the best for that condition. If you have the $$ to go TT then do it but between all the ST/SC options I chose the Stillen. Plus it is one of the safest kits out there for my daily driver.

As the last few post say the #'s don't tell the whole story. If they did the Stillen would be the slowest of them all but it is not. I know if I had Vortech or a ST then I would always be on it to get it up to boost and my gas mileage would be total crap!

my stillen is coming on this week..... personally i can't wait!!!!!! as for the reason to my decision is not so much as the total hp output, but the usable hp that i will use....... i am a daily driver with some freeway ride and very few track time......if you search around, there's a vid of stillen stage 3 going against a greddy tt and they post the exact same time on the quarter........ so unless you like to just boost hp or race on the highway like crazy, i don't see the need for the tt.......the other reason why i choose the stillen is because i love the plug and play kinda deal.... no maintaince, change oil like normal on your G, and no tuning required....... SIMPLICITY is the way to go......

I am getting the JWT TT when it gets CARB certified, but if I could get the Stillen stage 2, WITHOUT the ugly hood, I would get that instead. The only thing keeping me back from the Stillen is that hood...

the hood is a set back.... i agree.... but you know what.... when you look at it in person, it doesn't look that bad..... i actually grown to like it... that's why i am getting it.... but i can understand if you can't take the hood, don't get it.... i think the jwt tt is a sweet set up for our cars. you won't be dissappointed from others who have it....... good luck!

Congrats with your SC....you probably will not get 320 even with stage 3 because of your AT (more drvrtrain loss). I think stage 4 will get you there but again no warranty on either stage3 or 4. I know Stillen doesn't want race pipe nor header with their stage2 setups. Just have fun with stage2 then change to stage3 pulley (just don't let Stillen know...stage 3 should be as reliable as 2).

Are you guys also selling/installing the Stillen SC Scott? I've been exchanging email with Michael about a possible TT install but I'm still on the fence about which to go with.

do not get headers or test pipes with the stillen you will lose boost,i have the borla td,i got it after sc installed and really did not notice any low speed difference.

Losing boost by reducing backpressure is not necessarily a bad thing. Randy's G has a Vorteq setup with stock pulley, high flow cats and Injen true dual exhaust. The boost is closer to 6psi as opposed to 8psi (with stock exhaust) but the car still puts down the same power (366rwhp). By reducing the backpressure and lowering your boost you are running a safer setup without giving up power (in most cases).

I would strongly advice AGAINST installing headers with the stillen kit. Even stillen doesnt recommend it, on the first page of the instructions it says " headers will adversly affect performance" I installed a Stage two kit on a 6 speed coupe with I,H,E and he dyno'd 263 Whp
