i'm not sure what's on the front of that z, but the intercooler for the g appears to be a stillen (repainted with 'vrt').

i'm curious as to why nobody mentioned the stillen s/c with the utec.
i have talked to mike at aam about using a utech,he said it can be done but you will eliminate the fmu box,the 7th injector, replace all injectors with 440 injectors, weld in a bung for a/f guage, also buy the utech and assorted other things.the cost though is $3500 wich to me to get another 30 to 40 rwhp is insane.

thanks sc'd. what are these other costs? i'm aware of the utec (~$1000) and tuning (~$500). are the injectors the limiting factor? if so, injectors plus install (which would most likely include a fuel pump) (~$800), the guages aren't really necessary.

this brings us to ~$2300 for 35 rwhp. roughly $65 per pony.

the supercharger (stage 2) installed with hood, is approx ~$7k. on average, about 80 rwhp gain. that is about $87 per pony.

so it might be a cheaper method to add power by using the utec (especially if you've already taken a plunge into the stillen). i think this might be a decent add on.

am i missing something?

also, (i know this may sound over the top - just curious) do you think you might still be able to run about a wet 50-shot without a tune? i'm thinking the kit (as a stage 2 or maybe even 3) is still a little conservative, but the wet shot would actually negate the size of the injectors, etc....

am i reaching here?

good questions....... i think your questions are valid,,,, and i think the reason why stillen has not dived into these scenarios is the price....nobody wants to buy a blower for about $10K (same as a TT) without the hp....... but you need to realize the reliabilty factor.... the higher the hp the higher the risk to blowing your engine...... sometimes it's good to go safe and have the peace of mind when i jump in my car, it's fast, i have usable power, and i don't have to do anything else to it........ put in gas, change out my oil as usual, and floor the pedal........Peace of Mind sometimes oversees more power......

ok.... just read the stage 4 info.

it mentioned you could see up to 8lbs of boost, depending on your exhaust, headers, and cats. what does this mean? i realize that if your running headers and cats, you would acutally see less boost (and therefor, slightly lower hp). but i don't see it being that bad of a deal. this stage 4 seems like it might just do the trick. 8lbs is pretty safe on stock internals. larger injector, new fmu... i'm interested in stillen again. crap!!!

yea i forgot about the fuel pump and the price was installed and tuned, but my problem is i can install everything my self but was told it will run way to rich to get it up to aam and they really would rather install it themselves, prolly due to warranty or other stuff.im not going that way anyway im just going stage 4.

thank you...

Here are a few:
(I am planning on painting part of the CF hood so there is not this big chunk of CF on the front of the car and it flows a little better. But I am one of the odd ones that actually likes the hood. So far all of my friends like it too, the only one that does not like it is my girlfriend but she just does not like the CF, she said if it were black it would be awesome. It looks a lot different in person; a lot better...

I agree to a point. I don't like it being all CF so I am going to have a friend's paint shop paint part of it; we just need to decide how to do the design. That way it looks more like it was meant to be like that and not so ricey. In person it looks more black than grey like the pics.
Thanks for the opinion, I like to know what people think, good or bad.

Isn't that cool! It fit perfectly.
I got them from some internet site, I could find it again but I actually have two more that I got the the fenders but they are a little too small. You want to buy one (or two)? $10 each plus shipping is what I paid. They are still brand new in the bag if you are interested. I would sell them for $10 each shipped.

so a stock 03-04 G35C dynos ~ 230-240 HP...you guys are getting 280HP from a Stage 2?? Doesnt it seem like alot of $$ for only 40-50whp?? Is this increase noticeable?? Im sure it is, and forgive my ignorance, but compared to the vortech 340-360 whp...280 seems like nothing...
