Can anyone explain to me why Stillens twin screw design does not require tuning but the other S/C's do?

because it comes with a pretuned fmu from stillen.

i'm curious as to why nobody mentioned the stillen s/c with the utec.

 

i too wasted money on headers, and cats. i was planning the vortech route. i don't want to remove them. but... we'll see.

crap. i wonder of i could get one with nothing on it... so i don't have to paint over it, and never get that 'new' look. i'm not big on free advertisement.

UTEC + Stillen = WHAT???? This could get interesting!

 

everybody's chief complaint is, that you can't tune the stillen blower, with or without mods. obviously whatever warranty you bought through them would be voided (unless you remove the utec yada, yada). but the utec could be the fix that everybody was waiting for... instant power, tunability, reliability, ability to add power with breathing mods, etc...

now if they only fix that hood to make it look great, i'd be a buyer...

i started a couple emails of dialogue with vis racing a year ago, about a hood for both the sedan and coupe for stillen 'wanna be buyers' (but don't because of the ugly hood), and they said if we generate enough interest (obviously), they'd do it. i dropped it, because i decided to go vortech. but this fence is so easy to sit on (until you jump off - then you're stuck until you come up with another $7-$10k).

 

Not with the stock bumper. But with any aftermarket one you can. It sits in the same place as any other IC

 

Is it a large IC like a turbo setup would have?

 

yeah, they've got a picture of it on their website... it's a water intercooler (i think - which is more efficient in cooling than air-to-air).

 

Where can I find pics of aftermarket bumpers with the Stillen IC showing?
