Your headline isn't exactly accurate. Infiniti still hasn't officially announced a G37 AWD. The article speculates on what most of us already know and expect.

I really hope they add another 25HP to the X version, to offset the "fata$$ness"

You can't add HP to compensate added weight. Sure, it might be true for acceleration, but handling would take a hit. Which means the ride would have to be stiffer in order to compensate for the added weight if handling were to be equal to the S; which therefore, causes a less desirable ride.

If anything, Nissan needs to find a way NOT add anymore weight to the AWD. It might add a little more to the price tag for weight saving, but I think its a must.

I would rather have a G37 with 306 HP @ 3300 lbs than a G37 with 330 hp @ 3700 lbs.

+1 Skater. As the saying goes, "get the lead out". Weight is the bane of any vehicle whether it be a car, truck or bicycle. I don't like the direction I see of BMW, Lexus and Infiniti all bloating their cars out with excess avoir du pois. A lighter G would be the ticket.

I also wouldn't mind Infiniti making a G coupe with a shorter wheelbase than the sedan while reducing overall length as well. Something more compact with tighter dimensions would be better. The G37 is more like a male lion that has overstuffed itself on antelope rather than being a lithe leopard, ready to pounce.

^ I also agree with this. However I don't think it's something that will happen in this sport luxury category. My hope is that the next generation Nissan Z will maintain or reduce weight a bit with more power.

More ponys and less fat.........!

I was supprised when Nissan put out the Nismo Z and didn't offer the 330 HP
version. I saw one on the street and didn't think the body kit looked good,
gererally everything looks better in black......NOT! Nissan wake up and listen
to what your public wants!
