I can't say I don't like it, but it looks like an overgrown G now... almost like the G's overgrown, retarded, and fat little brother. Shouldn't the less expensive model be copying the styling of the more expensive ones, not the other way around like they have it here?

I liked the 03 M45 the most still...

not exactly a question for this thread but does anyone know what were the results of the BMWs law suit against INFINITI for using letter M to name one of their cars?

Looks like BMW won that one, however, I believe Nissan won the lawsuit over the letter "Z."

I was wondering why Infiniti would use a "truck" engine in the new M, since the VK56 is in the Titan and QX56. Well, it's not only in trucks, it's also in the racing GT1 GT-R .

The Titan/Armada/QX56 use the VK56DE.

The M56 uses the new VK56VD.

Now Infiniti has 2 good looking sedans. The M was always somewhat conservative looking and just didn't have that wow. Now it does.

Nissan has been putting truck motors into sports cars for a long while now (240SX, KA24DE) for their torque

Looks like Europe is also getting a diesel M

"For Western Europe, the M56 will be replaced by a Renault-sourced V6 performance diesel with an output of around 265 horsepower."

Wow....

Given the performance capabilities of this combo (VK56VD + 7A) the M56 may even give M5s and AMG E-classes some serious competition....

I also hear that the new M is supposed to be on the lighter side due to increased use in aluminum. I'll believe that when I see the curb weight figure.

Probably not gonna happen, but if they offer a manual transmission I will seriously consider getting one when my current G35s lease is up.
