How do i convince parents to let me purchase a G35?

Hi all.....heres my dillema

Ive recently managed to save around 10000 dollars to put down on a new car...

ive always loved inifinit g35's and 350z's....

I alone can make the car payments and put the downpayment on it...

But my parents are still paying and offering to pay for my insurance.....

the only kicker is......they dont want me to drive a sports car, they think i will get in an accident....

ive only had one moving violation where i accidently made a left turn when i couldnt....

They want me to get like a toyota camry..but screw that i want a G damnit

Is there anything i could say to my parents to maybe ease their minds and convince them?

another one is gas, but i offered to pay for all that myself also.

gas mileage isnt so good, i get average 16 with 50/50 highway/city, some guys say they can get 26 on the highway but i've yet to see that with my car. Look up the safety specs and how they compare to other cars your looking at. Overall it's a pretty safe car.

Gas mileage sucks. I hate it. I want to kill myself. My car is going to be pushed off a cliff.

If you're 20 years old then shouldn't it be up to you on which car you want to buy?

if they made a hybrid g35... that thing would cost a lot more... dude your 20 years old, a respectable age to be driving a car like this... i got mine when i was 20 and the car seemed perfect (22 now)... gas sucks... car payments suck... but safety, power, handling, looks, semi-luxuriousness is worth it. Some of us on the boards have seen TOATALED G35 COUPES... and the guys still come out of the G living to tell us the story and share the pics.

You'll be sharing the car? Are you still living at home? At 20?

Dude, take that money, and go live on your own.

Not if he wants money from Mommy and Daddy.

Dude, at age 20 you should be out of the house with your own J-O-B. WTF?

Sedans are tasty and you get all the performance of the coupe (and more) - they might respond better to a sedan if you don't tell them they're just as fast (or faster...)..

Oh yeah thats a genoius idea. Go live away from home at 20. Its not going to be a big deal. Your just gonna have to pay rent, pay for gas, electricity, and so much more + car.

Take my advice. If your going to school (college, university), continue to live with your parents (as everyone else usually does). Its going to be such a hassle for a 20 year old to go away from home and do it all by himself when hes going to school (if you are going to school). Like some people said, your 20, you should choose which car to get. If your parents dont support you, then you should still be able to pay for it. Or they can partially pay for it (and you pay the rest).
