is changing suspension to TEIN going to fix the feathering problem? Well, I have noticed feathering around 10K miles, but I just pretended that I had a hearing problem and waited until 27K miles when my slip light came ON all da time when I did some cornering at 40mph+... Well that's one way to save money, I guess... hehehe

My car was lowered on tein basics right after the tire mount/dismount and bfore the alignment. But I agree.. this should this be taken care of by nissan for poor design.
I assume that when your car was lowered you also changed the control arms that allowed for camber adjustment, correct? If so, I would assume that is why you no longer have any feathering issues after the alignment and the altering of your front suspension. That is another reason to conclude that the original stock suspension on our cars has some kind of distorted geometry causing our feathering problems.

I have 22K on the origianl Michelins and I complained to Infiniti about the noise. It sounded like a wheel bearing. (I knew it was the tires). They confirmed tht the tires had feathered but offered to do nothing. (As I expected).

i have an 03 6mt with 35,000 miles on the front tires and they still dont need to be changed yet. i just changed out the rears last week but the fronts are ok. the inner is worn more then the outer tire but they dont need to be replaced yet. i guess its just an issue for some of the 03 and 04 coupes.

look at the hack job that guy did to the inner fender of his accord. lol

highway noise from front end

I have 13k on my new tires and they need replacing already because of feathering. This is my second set of front tires in 22k. At highway speeds, the noise is unbearable. Any other coupe owners who wish to file a complaint as well, the number is 800-662-6200. Maybe enough complaints will force Infiniti to address the real isses which is not the tire.
I have the same issue with my 03 and it is aweful. I have also put 2nd set on. How about a aftermarket camber set?
