I took my car to get retinted to the dealer since the tint was raising a lot from the passenger side door, i get the car back today and barely noticed what they did to my door

Now to go back to the dealer again and ask what happened

At least it's not paint damage... this will be an easy fix... just a little costly for them!

This is what terrifies me about going to get my tint done. At least this was at a Dealer, so you know you'll get taken care of and they'll have the part(s) to fix it.

What if this happened at a local tint shop? Even if they "agree" to fix it, think about the down time and who knows what they'll use to fix it. That scares the crap outta me! This is the second horror story I've read about in the last couple of weeks.

PS - I'm looking for a tint shop in SoCal, but preferably in the I.E., not the O.C.

I would definitely be p!ssed! Don't let any time pass before you take it back to the dealer.....I would take it back ASAP!! Good luck getting it fixed.

It looks to me like it's not the trim but the door panel itself. It lloks like they touched the metal nozzle of the heat gun to it by accident when they were heating the film. I would say the door panel needs to be replaced to fix that.

it was the door panel and not trim but it was fixed today. I took it to the same guy who checked my tint before i got retint and he was like wow that wasnt there yesterday when you brought it in and fixed it. Had to drive the excursion to work

I didn't go through this with the tint shop, because my tint guy was great But I went through something similar with a different shop that screwed stuff up. I told them I would take my car to the dealer to have it fixed, and I would bring the bill back, and they agreed. So I took the car to the dealer to have the stuff fixed that he broke, and brought the receipt back, and got reimbursed.
