I got a SWEET compliment last Tuesday...

I always park at the far end of the parking lot at work, at least 5 spots from where the rest of the cars usually park. No one ever parks this far away from the office building enterance. So I come out of my office for lunch, and start walking towards my car and notice that someone decided to park RIGHT NEXT TO ME!! My first reaction was to get worried about dings and to check my driver's side door. But I quickly was relieved to recognize the car was something special...

So either the guy thought it would be funny to show me up by parking a REAL sports luxury coupe next to mine, or he just wanted to try and **** me off because I "think I'm so special" for parking so far away. Either way, the dude obviously felt like my G coupe was something his car could be compared to. That put a big smile on my face.
(btw, I looked inside the windows on that thing and checked it out - chrome and woodgrain trim everywhere, (ugly tan) leather everywhere, adn the speedometer goes up to 220mph!!!)

I was leaving the gym and putting my bag in the trunk one evening and a guy walks by and says "beautiful car, the color matches your eyes" (lakeshore slate) I said thanks, continued getting in and then started laughing...I had my sunglasses on!! My eyes are blue but he couldn't see them. I also had some guy at the gas station say "wow nice car, your man takes good care of you" I quickly replied with the fact that I bought the car and "my man" didn't pay a dime for it. He appologized and left. Why do men think if a woman drives a nice car it must have been bought for them? Oh well.

I've received a lot of "nice car" compliments, but so far the best one was the compliment that was implied and not blatantly said.

attractive colleague: "Is that your ride?"
Gammawolf: "yup, I just got her."
attractive colleague: "beautiful color..."
Gammawolf: "thanks, I looked everywhere for that color combo."
attractive colleague: looks at me and smiles with a cheshire cat smile, "too bad you have a girlfriend . . ." and walks off struttin her stuff.

that was the most blue balling compliment I've received so far

ouch!!! dammit i would hate to see her walk away after a comment like that!

Best compliment i've gotten is from a girl saying nice car and of course i replied thank you...she then continues to say "is it roomy inside?" i of course knew what she was implying and said yes would you like to go for a ride. Then her muscle head boyfriend came around the corner and she took out her phone with the quickness and acted like she was on the phone and left with him.....

i got in my car and yelled fffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuccccccccccckkkkkkk!!!!!!!! !

A long time friend, once he saw the car, has a running offer to buy it once the price comes down enough. I suspect that the price after 3 years isn't down enough, but I don't want to sell yet anyway

He even kept it in his garage one time for 10 days while I was on vacation, keeping his own car out in the driveway. If I had left it at my sister's house, it may have had dings, since my sister's house was on the edge of a hail storm (bad enough that another friend's car was totalled by it).

I just got my car not too long ago.

So I have only had a few.

a dude who was following me when I pulled up to the 711 was like dayumm a sexy mami in a sexy ride. lol I was like thank you. Then he was like the way you were switchin lanes I thought a guy was driving ( I just tinted my windows so you cant see inside).

The taco bell lady who took my order, ended up coming outside while I was talking to a friend, and asked me if that was my car, I was like yes, and she was like that car is gorgeous.

I bet he parked next to you because he knew you wouldn't ding his car. A nice G is a very non threatening car. Whatever the intent I agree it is a nice compliment to have a car like that park next to you.

The few times I have it valeted here in L.A., I love it when they put it right in the front.

You come out, you see your G, and you say, "yup, that's my ride over there!"
