Daily Driver Theory

I've seen a couple of threads recently where people have discussed the merits/pitfalls of having the G as your primary (or only) daily driver. Personally I see a lot more sedans on the road than I do coupes, so I'm thinking that maybe more sedan owners are daily drivers while coupe owners are "weekend warriors."

So anyway, just a poll to test the theory. Thoughts?

definitely my coupe is my daily driver. I don't mind putting premium in, its only a few bucks more per tank than the other stuff. Highway mpg isn't all that bad too... Its definitely a blast to drive, especially considering how much I am on the road.

Daily driver. I put 28k+ miles on my 04 in a year, so mine was on the road all the time. Luckily work from home now so I'm keeping the miles down on the 05.

Daily driver here.... with a subqualifier.
1. Close to 100% in the summer, but crappy days I take my truck. (like today )

2. 5% in the winter, 95% truck.

My G Coupe is nice but not too nice to drive daily. When I get my Porsche that will be a different story.

The coupe is not a daily driver but I bought it to be. It was going to be my beater car but I then inherited a pickup which got drafted for daily duties.

I'm with you here. I voted for NOT a daily driver (coupe), b/c I drive it 2-3 days a week during the summer and rarely during the winter (just too dangerous with summer tires). I have an old minivan that I drive the rest of the time, since its so cheap to maintain. Gotta love a vehicle where a pair of rotors cost ~$60 and pads cost ~$50.

Drive our sedan X on any trips out of town, which is often. Use my truck for errands, parking in grocery store parking lots, towing etc.
In winter use my X more than the truck if there is lots of snow .

The coupe would be my daily driver if it weren't for that pesky white stuff in the winter.
